Eden Companionship was founded by a home carer with experience working for several large care organisations and for personal clients. We realised that there are many people who, whether for reasons of old age, illness or the loss of close friends and family members, feel increasingly alone and isolated and don’t know where to turn for help.

Denise (Eden Companionship) looked after my Dad for 2 years following the death of my Mom in 2015. Dad had Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia but was otherwise very fit and healthy and well enough to remain in his own home. Denise visited five days a week and helped Dad to stay independent as long as possible. She helped him around the house, did his shopping and housework, made sure he attended medical appointments and generally looked after him. As Dad's condition worsened Denise was able to assist with washing, dressing and personal care when needed. Her sense of humour and kind and caring nature meant that Dad was able to enjoy life in familiar surroundings, keep to his regular routine, and stayed healthy. She did us a great service and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help with a relative in a similar situation. More...
What do you love most about your job?
I find it very satisfying knowing that I’m helping someone remain independent, living in their own home and enjoying as full a life as possible. It’s the small things that can make a difference, such as walking to the shops, meeting their friends or preparing a meal together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working for several large care organisations I realised that there is a demand for small, local and personal care companies.

I am cheerful, friendly, trustworthy and will do everything I can to help my clients lead a happy fulfilled life in their own home environment. I am very security minded . I am fully insured and I hold a DBS certificate.
