What do you love most about your job?
The team at Eclectic love working with our clients to find vulnerabilities in their existing security and helping them develop a safer and more secure environment for them, their staff, their visitors and assets. It is satisfying for us to see the surprise on our clients faces when they realise the savings they can make when they are shown the correct areas to invest their money on physical security instead of just throwing their money at areas that they think should be invested in or areas that often security installation companies will tell them they need to invest in but are frequently only suggested as a sales pitch.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our services were inspired by decades of security experience and the realisation that many physical security measures put in place to protect businesses or domestic properties were all too often inadequate or in some cases overkill often bought at a high price because a sales pitch had convinced someone they needed the systems/procedures in place or the worse would happen.
We also noticed that although some security systems were great at what they had been designed to do they are often installed by someone who has put little or no thought into where to locate the system or how to set it up correctly to maximise the systems full potential.
Eclectic was set up to address these issues as an impartial consultancy giving the correct advise on where Physical security is needed and to what extent. We wanted to help our clients get the correct physical security advice without any sales pitches, in turn saving them money and giving them the perfect level of security for their own particular needs without overkill. We wanted our clients to get the right balance of security for their premises/assets

Eclectic Security care about our clients and strive to provide the best service to each and every one of our clients. When our consultants and/or Red team (ESIT) work for a client they will work solely on that project until completion so our full focus is with them and them alone. If you are considering a complete security system upgrade/installation, or you have concerns about current security systems or measures then Eclectic security can give impartial advice and will often save you money by eliminating the desire to have unnecessary systems or measures put in place were they may not be needed, however we will also advise if there is a need for more systems/procedures to be put in place to protect areas that are vulnerable.
Our team will give you an honest and totally impartial picture of how secure your premises are at any current time giving you the confidence to put resources into the actual areas that need attention.
Physical Security Red Team
Physical security infiltration testing, commonly known as red teaming or penetration testing, provides realistic overviews of the effectiveness of current security measures.
Primary objectives of a test include assessing the ability of current physical security measures to prevent infiltration by attackers. It will assess these measures to determine their efficacy and discover any vulnerabilities.
Red Teams are specialists that simulate these attacks. Eclectic Security’s red team is known as ESIT (Eclectic Security Infiltration Team). Each team member is highly trained and experienced in the techniques used by professional attackers to infiltrate secure environments.
We work very closely with professional Social engineers who are experts in the field of human hacking giving us and them an added tool when carrying out a test together.
Physical Security Assessment
Physical Security Assessments are an excellent way to evaluate your existing security. They are a good first step towards making security improvements or solving a security problem.
During a Security Assessment, all aspects of your security program are examined, with weaknesses identified and suggestions for security improvements made. In addition, identification of where costs can be reduced or security operations can be made more efficient will be documented..

This assessment process is constantly evolving, allowing us to take advantage of lessons learned from previous assessments, and to keep up with the latest security best practices.
