Dr. Kenneth Brown has been able to guide me through a heavy time of bereavement and additional life challenges. These losses, along with other life challenges, were slowing me down in all areas of my life. It was a heavy time. Loss wasn't new to me personally or professionally as an RN for over 25 years. Even the challenges of life and solving them were not foreign to me. I felt different this time, though.

I have done a good amount of counseling over my lifetime. Dr. Brown is unique in that he invests in us as much as we are investing in the process. With other counselors, there are often strict boundaries surrounding your 1 hour appointment and ways to reach out in between. While I understand why that is, it does not feel like the counselor really cares or is invested in my personal progress and well being. While we are respectful of Dr. Brown's personal time and he of ours, it's apparent he's thinking of us in between appointments and contemplating how to make our time together most effective.
