My child changed their mind after one month; as kids do.. there is absolutely no way out of their 'contract' which I felt was shocking especially when dealing with children. You have to buy their kit @ £100 which they claim to be of the best quality but you can find better and 2/3 cheaper on Amazon and the joining fee @ £100 which was for I do not know what plus the monthly £48 fee for minimum 6months equated to one big scam. **BEWARE** More...

These guys are AMAZING! I was on their 6 week prgramme in which i lost 7.2% body fat and over a stone in weight!!! Wayne and Mandy are both so welcoming its like a little family. They are great motivators and their classes are kickass!! I have learnt so much and my fitness level has increased to the point where it is fun to run around with my kids. Great place, my son has learnt so much, not just physical skills but safety skills. My son got lost in Asda and the first thing he did was find an Asda worker and gave my full name on the speaker. He learnt this under the little dragons programme, every parent should consider taking their kids here! The atmosphere is so approachable and friendly you immediately feel welcome. Wayne, Mandy and Patrick provide a fun environment in which my boys have flourished.My boys are 8 and 6 and have been attending the Black Belt Academy for 3years and 2 years respectively. In this time their coordination and confidence have grown hugely. I have only been training at The Didsbury Black Belt Academy now for 3 weeks and honestly I really like the camaraderie with all the gang who train there. I can't wait to take my training to the next level over the next 12 months. Wayne and Patrick were so welcoming to me. They are very patient and articulate in how they teach. I've been attending for about a year now and really enjoying it. Patrick and Wayne have been great instructors and give very constructive feedback at grading. Having read through all the reviews on here I totally disagree with the 1 and 2 star reviews posted as I have never experienced the negative things mentioned. There are 2 options for paying, either 6 months in advance or monthly. I've used both as being a freelance worker I can't always pay the 6 months. There was no issue with switching between the 2. I did kickboxing as a child and even back then the organisation I was with had us purchase our uniform and equipment from them. Not sure what those posters issues are but really don't recognise DBBA from their negative reviews. More...

I have been a martial artist for the past 10 years and this is one of the best, friendliest clubs that I've been to.
Over the years I've been here, I can say we have solid classful of people in all age ranges, which is good because it helps push us to be better.
We work together in classes in a cooperative style and have a lot of partner work.
We have a competitive sparring class, which is really fun and helped push me to the next level of martial arts training. Master Edwards is a top coach and also employs only the best, and we are now part of an association - the WFMC with whom I won a world champions.
I'd highly recommend this, families are welcome and age isn't a problem, they tailor the program towards you!

My son has attended Didsbury Black belt Academy for 8 months now, he LOVES it! Every member of staff are great, they help and support the children individually and as a group.
