What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
To take a great photograph requires many things; an understanding of light, composition, creative flair, timing etc. but I think the most important thing is to understand your subject matter and take the time to plan your shots.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to have an open conversation with each client to understand what each may need and to gain some insight into their requirements, it's less about a list of questions and more about how I can meet the expectations of each client.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety! No day is the same, I could be photographing antiques and interiors one day and lifestyle shots the next.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been teaching photography at a University for over 10 years, during this time I had accrued a great deal of knowledge and had watched many students and colleagues embark on and develop their photographic careers. This gave me the inspiration and confidence to start my own business and I have n't looked back since!
