Darren has a personable and honest approach. I prefer this as it’s easy to con yourself, but not so easy to con Darren. Main aims for me were losing weight and NOT get injured or regular sore muscles. Other gyms can not deliver as well as the equipment used at this gym. Learnt plenty about hydration and fat loss. After 10 months of “fairly” regular attendance (2 to 3 30 minute visits most weeks). I’m much fitter, more muscle mass and 10kg of “FAT” lighter. For quite a while I was running 5kms at an average pace of 5:20/km and I felt like I'd plateaued. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
1. I test them using state of the art kit equivalent to DEXA standard (+-1%). Look at current nutrition and then test them.
2. Build a plan to identify what exercise suits the client. Provide instruction and motivate them to stick to goals.
3. Retest weekly until goals are hit.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Understanding what nutrition suits your body and then sticking to it.
Picking the correct exercise to enhance your best bits.
What do you love most about your job?
I love coaching people and seeing them transform themselves.
Helping clients who are stuck in jobs they hate and watch them achieve careers that are fulfilling at last!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to be significantly overweight and transformed myself.
When I realised you can create your own life it's an amazing feeling help others do the same.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm the only PT using the testing kit that I have. Also because I used to overweight and now help people overcome the same challenges I did. I use a unique system of accountability to help you every day.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In the gym we use covid-secure sanitisation and deep clean daily.
