Dan is simply brilliant! Such a lovely guy who is willing to do everything he can to help out. Also, not afraid to say no to things he can't do which is helpful. Very trustworthy, timely, clean and tidy and a complete gentleman - useful to know if you live alone, ladies! I asked him to clear a rear courtyard of fallen leaves, trim back overhanging branches and do some smaller jobs inside the house (picture, mirror hanging, patch up painting etc...) We have used Dan since moving to Cornwall on a variety of projects. He has built bookcases for our library, created 'elven' looking bookshelves in our daughter's room using natural wood branches for the risers/supports of the shelves. He has done countless minor maintenance and repair jobs around the house and also advised and worked on different parts of the garden. He has been invaluable in providing professional advice and even sourcing other contractors such as a reliable tree surgeon. As we moved my mother and mother-in-law down to live near us they have come to rely on Dan for all of their needs also. We hired Dan to do some odd jobs around the house (building and erecting shelves, putting up pre-packed shelves, changing door handles, fixing the laminate floors, putting up heavy mirrors etc) but last minute we couldn't be at the house while he was here, so we left out a key and he let himself in and just ploughed through everything, and simply locked up when he was finished! Apart from the work completed, we wouldn't have known he had even been here! Everything was immaculately done and then tidied up. Now trying to think of other jobs we can get him to do!!! Dan's attention to detail is 2nd to none. Dan has done work for us over the last 18 months or so and we have been extremely pleased with everything that he has done. If I'm confined to a wheelchair and had been unable to access our garden and its beautiful views over West Cornwall; Dan built the most amazing deck which was specially strengthened to take the weight of my power wheelchair and myself! I now have full access to all that our garden offers and the deck has been admired by all who have visited.Dan has done several other jobs for us, including: building a custom made TV unit; an oak coat rack and shelf; fitted custom made blinds to our new kitchen; fitted my recording monitor loudspeakers to the wall; hung various pictures; redecorated our bedroom, lounge and office: refurbished and modernised our fireplace; fitted laminate flooring to our conservatory.I thoroughly recommend Dan; his attitude and attention to detail makes it a pleasure to deal with him.
