I can’t recommend Andrew and his team highly enough. We had an Afro-Caribbean buffet for 50 people at my wife’s birthday party and the food was exceptional. Our friends and family were going out of their way to tell us how much they enjoyed everything they ate, it was a talking point and a real success. Just as importantly as the food, Andrew was a great guy to deal with from start to finish and provided an excellent service. Very professional, thorough and accommodating, we felt really well looked after and, in the middle of organising a big party, it was reassuring to know we just didn’t need to worry about the food. What’s your signature dish?
As Chef that has a passion for food, in general, I have a couple of signature dishes Jerk chicken African lamb, and chicken Chorizo is my favorite dishes to cook and some of the dishes . I have an ongoing love for food from all over the world from Europe to the Caribbean on to the African continent I excel in many different cuisines
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Well, the first thing to do is to find out what the customer wants as this is very important so we speak to you the customer and find out what your favourite dishes are to eat. then we get a feel for the event and venue and this gives insight as to what you actually want as each menu is different the bespoke approach s how we create the perfect menu
What do you love most about your job?
Andrew Dekannwarri, our chef, is from the North West of England. From an early age, he had an incredible passion for food. After qualifying at Bournemouth college with a Diploma in Food & Catering, Andrew moved to central London to work with key players in the industry and experiment with different styles of cuisine. Before long, his skills and culinary expertise were perfectly honed.
With almost three decades of experience working as a private chef in the catering industry, Andrew brings an incredible wealth of knowledge to every event. Over the years, he has catered at a range of different high-end venues across the UK. No event is too big or too small.
As a leading specialist in African and West Indian cuisine, Andrew is also a food consultant. From special events to new restaurants and product launches, he has helped advise countless UK businesses. If you have a question for Andrew, just ask.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The passion I have for food I have loved my job for over 20 years and the experience I have had being a chef has inspired me to carry on
