About

I am a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and I am trained in a whole range of therapeutic techniques rather than a "one size fits all " approach. I offer a safe confidential comfortable space in Hove, where I help clients to deal with and overcome whatever they are facing.

I have been working with Cressida for a little while now, and feel lucky to have found her.
In our sessions, she has always struck the right balance between creating a friendly and welcoming therapeutic space, whilst consistently maintaining healthy professional boundaries.
I find her approach to be kind, informed, intuitive, non-judgemental and patient, which provides me with a safe place to gradually unpick long held unhealthy thought patterns and behaviours, and has helped me to achieve things that, before our sessions, would not have been possible, and I fully agree with all positive comments from previous reviewers.

Cressida really helped me heal. At her core she is kind and forgiving, and this is reflective in her approach. She's perceptive to what you need, and honest enough to say it. She helped me change my life, and I've never had such a good lifestyle. Best therapist I've ever had. More...

Over the past year Cressida has been monumental in my recovery from anxiety and depression. Her range of techniques have given me the tools to feel confident in my own abilities. From my sessions with her I now feel a lot more compassion for myself and my past too. She’s always on hand to discuss queries and is flexible when necessary. More...

Q&As

I love helping to empower people to overcome whatever problems they come to therapy with. To see them grow and flourish and make positive changes in their life. I see it as a collaborative process and every journey I go on with a client is different.

I turned my own life around through my own personal therapy over a number of years. In my earlier life I suffered from bouts of depression and anxiety, and working with an amazing therapist helped me overcome my issues and find peace of mind and fulfilment. This inspired me to retrain as a therapist as I'd previously worked in London in advertising and felt I'd come to a point where I wanted to do something completely different. It's the best thing I've ever done.

I feel that I offer the qualities of being non judgemental, accepting and compassionate which are so important as a therapist. I am very experienced in successfully helping clients overcome a whole range of issues. My aim is to give them a "toolbox" of new skills that they can take into the outside world which will equip them with better healthier coping mechanisms and lead to overall happier and more grounded lives.
