As a learner with Cerebral Palsy, I contacted Adam and explained I'd really love to play but was sceptical if it would ever be possible. Adam told me 'Aahhh we'll give it a go!' And I haven't looked back. :) It's already doing wonders for my confidence and self esteem. My smile after lessons is infectious and the physical benefits are immense.

Found Crash Drum School and the brilliant Adam Swales by chance on the internet almost 5 years ago. In that time he has taken our son Lewis from beginner to Grade 8 and inspired his love of drumming so much that he is about to start his degree in professional musicianship in drumming at Manchester BIMM. Crash Drum School is about so much more than passing grades (though very pleasing that is, as parents), but also providing a broad education in a wide range of genres, encouraging personal development through individualized teaching and providing expertise and inspiration from masterclasses and drum clinics with world class drummers. My son Jack has been having lessons at Crash Drum School for nearly two years now, and it's given him a hobby he loves. In this time he's achieved his initial, grade one and grade two certificates, thanks to Adam's expert teaching and patience. More over, the lessons have helped Jack learn how to control his frustrations and become resilient in every aspect of his life. I've just received Jack's end of year school report and his teacher makes mention of how much of an improvement she had seen in this time, with his confidence in particular. Adam at Crash Drum School is a sincere and passionate educator who cares about each students journey. As a Drum teacher and as an individual, he is always positive and enthusiastic about drum lessons and life outside of tuition too. As a drummer myself of many years, and knowing Adam also for many years, I would consider Adam to not only be professional, diligent and extremely knowledgeable but also a good friend. My son has attended Crash Drum School since he was five years old. He is now about to turn nine and he still absolutely loves it and looks forward to his weekly lesson. Crash Drum School is a joy to attend, after over coming the challenge of starting something completely new at 33 years old I attend weekly & would not miss it. Adam has a unique teaching method using precision & correct techniques whilst keeping the enjoyment factor very high.
