I am a freelance photographer based in the north west England working on commissions, projects and assignments for commercial, educational and editorial clients at home and abroad.
My work appears regularly in the national and international press and media and I work for business clients across the United Kingdom.
As a founding partner of Document Scotland, much of my work often takes me north of the border, especially to my birthplace, Edinburgh, where I work annually at the Festival covering events and photographing authors.
I have an extensive archive of images built up over 25 years working as a photographer. My images are available for licence on request and I am represented by the international agency Getty Images..
The gallery is quite huge, and I kinda feel the current exhibitions didn’t really do much to fill it! The shop isn’t bad, and I love the history. I understand the need for sponsorship. But what was in display at the moment would of fitted in one gallery. Given the amount of photography courses in and around, why not introduce some new talent. Anyway, if you are in to photography do pop in! More...
Amazing photography focused art gallery, really good exhibits throughout the year and a great little shop for everything camera and photography related
Great stuff on and a good shop. A tad expensive, but it's a gallery!
Staff so friendly within this light airy modern building- easy to get to from James Street station - well worth a visit
Loved the Tom Woods expedition. Looking at photos from the 80's from the Pier Head brought back some great memories.
Fascinating photography gallery. So tempted to do one of there courses.
A very interesting display of photos from the ferry and environs from the seventies onwards.
Lovely intimate gallery situated in the Albert Dock. Nice little shop where you can buy Ilford black and white film among other things.
One of the smaller galleries in Liverpool. But one of the mightiest. Always worth the trip.
Lively gallery featuring local and international photographers. Also has talks and presentations with visiting photographers and lively discussions.
One of the best photography galleries in the North.
All ways worth visiting, Lot's going on
Small but beautiful gallery with an arrangement of exhibitions that need to be shown. I'm happy to have been able to stop by and be surrounded with artists who don't share my same views on life, to get a better understanding of their point of view and also some that do. Enlightening to say the least. Thank you for existing. More...
This is a great gallery specialising in photography. You are always made welcome when you enter & they have an interesting range of exhibitions through the year. Well worth a visit.
Was awesome place in how people make an impact and affect change. Great place to browse and spend time.

But I would like to see more staff
I went to an event at this place - adult ball pool. It was cheap easy to book and lots of fun. Only downside is that the event wasn't very well publicized.
Light and airy place great to display interesting art.
The first place on my list when visiting Liverpool, always an interesting a varied selection of photography on display.
Although small in size, the Open Eye Gallery presented an interesting and well thought-out exhibition.
