Q&As

We start by understanding what your brand stands for - what is the difference that sets you apart from your competitors - and if you don't already know this, we help you define it because... the most successful brands have at their core, an unswerving belief in what they stand for. This belief directs business decisions, product and service development, marketing activities, visual identity and tone of voice.
We aim to immerse ourselves in your brand as quickly and as fully as possible through 'interrogating' you to glean as much of your knowledge as possible, by reviewing your target consumers, assessing your competitors and getting an understanding of the environment your brand lives in. However, learning and knowledge gathering never stops - markets change, trends emerge, competitors up their game - we seek to build long term relationships with our clients and create brand design that has the depth and flexibility to evolve and grow (whilst always being true its foundations).
Our creative process is collaborative - we work closely with our clients, using their knowledge and expertise as an extension of our own, sharing and decoding the language of design so that together we develop brand design that distinctively communicates their brand.
Our wealth of artwork and print production knowledge, coupled with extensive in-house skills such as illustration, photography and retouching, ensure your design is translated faithfully in print, within budget and on time.

Our first conversation with a new client will focus on getting to an understanding of their brand as quickly and as fully as possible. We would ask questions around the product or service (range, unique benefits, distinctive features, idea behind its creation etc), consumers (who are the target audience(s), what is their lifestyle, how would your product/service benefit them/make them feel/impact on their own identity), competitors (who are they, what are their strengths and weaknesses, are there any that you admire, what differentiates your brand), lifecycle (where are you in your brand's lifecycle - just starting or established, if established what have been your 'moments of magic' in the past, what's the learning to date, how's the product/service/consumer/market changed), environment (where do consumers come across your brand, describe the environment), trends (are there any past or current trends that impact on your brand), personality (what's your desired personality, how does that compare to your competitors) and so on... We would work with our clients to tease out this information and often use visual stimulus to aid discussions.

Working with super friendly, driven clients who really believe in their brand and working as part of their team, sharing their goals, challenges and achievements. Long term relationships that grow out of doing great work together.

With a background in top London agencies, we set out to do it differently - to offer more for less. Our clients invest a lot of time in our brand learning curve and we like to pay that back. We set out to create design that is rooted in what the brands stands for, design that is distinctive and meaningful and that has the depth and flexibility to grow and achieve coherence and engagement across all brand communications and channels. We approach brand design looking for generous ideas, always thinking about the big picture. For instance, if we're asked to develop a piece of packaging design, we also think about how it might grow off pack to ensure all communications are linked and we create assets and develop design principles, making it quicker and easier to produce ongoing communications.
What we like best, is doing the work and it doesn't matter to us whether this is the big identity project for a global brand, a packaging design for a start up or a beer mat for a brewery. We've stayed lean, so that our time is focused on the work and not spread too thinly across other functions associated with running a bigger agency.
Our skills focus on brand design, including design strategy, naming, identity design (including logo design), packaging design, print design, print advertising, point of sale and includes in-house skills such as artwork, illustration, photography, retouching and production knowledge. Over the years some clients have asked us for more, so rather than dilute our skills and become a 'jack of all trades' but still wanting to deliver our client's wishes, we've enrolled other like minded agencies with whom we collaborate. They include: brand management, marketing strategy, video content, NPD, and web development.

Aside from our years of experience and superb skills, we're really easy to get on with and have a great big 'can-do' attitude.
