Chris helped me redesign my Spring 2017 brochure, the most impressive aspect of the work was his commitment to working round the clock to get the brochure ready in time for launch. His designs were slick and professional which tied nicely into what I was looking for. Communication was good I cannot fault his work. I would recommend Chris and will be working with him on future projects.

We asked Chris to design a logo for a cocktail bar which we are opening in the near future. He was helpful and professional from the start and we feel he really listened to what we would like. Chris came up with some beautiful sketches which we loved but were not quite right for us, when we let him know this he immediately created something else which was absolutely perfect and we couldn't be happier with it. He is extremely well priced, quick to reply and professional. All we could have asked for. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for any project.

What information do you need from a client before you start work?

All I need is a from you to get started is a brief, your budget and your deadline.

What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?

I cater for any type of print project. I can also adapt my style to work for web design

Describe your creative process.

Work out brief with client > research time > idea generation > initial designs > feedback > design amendments > more feedback > hopefully final design

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

I will need a bit of background information on the client's needs. This will be about their company, the type of design they are looking for e.g. Existing design they like, colour preferences, imagery ideas if necessary, age range. This is all to give me a basic idea of where to start so we can get to the final solution as swiftly as possible.

What do you love most about your job?

Building my ideas to create the best solution and seeing it all come together as the finished piece.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The freedom to use my passion for creativity in the real world.

Graphic Designer & Print Producer

From January 2015 to present.

On a day to day basis, I accurately prepare artwork for print. This is something I do from both independent creativity, or in response to content supplied by a client. I use Fiery rip software to set jobs up for print, allowing me to make sure everything will be produced as anticipated from colour to duplex. I also have excellent knowledge of finishing. This gives me a thorough understanding of seeing a job through its entirety; from the early stages in the beginning, to the finished product itself. This subsequently allows me to account for and pre-empt what will and won’t work beforehand. Along with these main responsibilities, I have a good understanding of FLEX. This is a job management system for clients work. With this, I can set jobs up, calculate costings and keep track of stock. Keeping track of paper stock levels is another responsibility I hold. This provides me with the opportunity to oversea the purchasing of stock for the most efficient prices, with good value for money and from the most suitable suppliers.

Within this marketing agency my role was to optimise clients media platforms, in particular Facebook. We were responsible for generating leads for all of our clients, whilst working to tight budgets and deadlines. All of this was achieved through group planning and hours of hard work, consistently pushing our creative abilities and analytical knowledge to the maximum.

Graphic Designer

B.I.G. International, Warrington

From May 2014 to August 2014.

In this role, as an in-house graphic designer, I was solely responsible for the production of artwork for labels, company brochures, technical data sheets and any other design requirements. Communication with internal and external sources was vital in this role to keep work on target and to meet deadlines.
