This is a historic landmark club to see jazz in New York and there's always really good talent there. The room is cramped and the price is a bit steep ($20 + drink minimum on even on a Monday) but you're guaranteed good music once you're inside

Lovely jazz club with a very intimate atmosphere in a basement of a building near Chelsea. It fits probably no more than 50 people which helps to build this feeling of a unique experience. Be aware: arrive early, I mean at least 20 minutes before the show starts if you one to score a ticket and get a good spot. There are many spots in the club where you won’t be able to see the musicians (although you will hear them). Wow. The vibe here is incredible. The band we saw was absolutely flawless. Make sure to get to the venue long before the set you want to see to get tickets, then you can chill around the area until your set.

Perfect little jazz club. It will be crowded when you first walk in but people leave between sets. Grab a drink while you wait and a seat will open up soon. Perfect way to end an evening.

We were lucky to see Justin Robinson in this cozy jazz cellar. A really unforgettable evening. The Smalls is almost an omniston of any idea of an old jazz club you can imagine. Smalls is amazing, the later the better! The programs never disappoint me. I urge all the tourists who want to check out this spot to respect the musicians and your fellow customers.
