Gary and his team have done a great job completing some damp proofing and repair work. I had a bad experience in the past with a damp proofing company who had high prices and poor quality work. Gary however took the time to reassure me and gave lots of details about the planned work. He also quoted a great price and there were no hidden costs. Gary and the whole team at Cheshire Damp have been amazing in converting our completely unused and bare basement into a full extra floor that we can now use!

From first meeting Gary in January when he came to quote for the job I was immediately put at ease by his honest and friendly approach and great advice. Having had other companies in to quote for the job it was refreshing to have Gary buy into the simple ideas we had without going overboard and quoting for a job we didn't really want or need.

Gary, Kenny and Dave were on time every day and treated the house with complete respect. We had no hesitation in giving them a set of keys for the duration of the work and couldn't have had a more trustworthy bunch working in our home whilst we were at work. Kenny and Dave worked tirelessly, alongside a number of others (Chris, Ian, Dave); the amount of work they completed over the space of a month is testament to how hard they worked.

I know that a number of neighbours have been in touch with Gary regarding doing work in their home and I couldn't recommend Cheshire Damp highly enough! We would also be very happy for future customers to come and take a look at our finished basement and to chat about how the process went for us.

Thanks again Gary, Kenny and Dave for all of your hard work over the past month. You've been great and we can't thank you enough.

Cheshire Damp did our cellar conversion from an unuseable space into a utility room and ensuite bedroom and I couldn't be more pleased. They were absolutely fantastic. Fantastic, professional service from Gary and the team. We needed the damp course doing quickly as we'd got other trades people booked in, and Gary went out of his way to help us. The quality of the plastering finish is really high, they definitely know their stuff. They even called and asked to come back after they'd finished as they wanted to replace an old socket that we hadn't even noticed they'd accidentally cracked. Not many other companies would do that! We'd already paid so I'd say that was an excellent service from a company who take pride in attention to detail. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cheshire Damp to anybody. Very professional service, extremely competitive quote, excellent attention to detail and quick turnaround time. Gary and his team are a small family firm who are extremely knowledgeble with the issues we had in our old 1800s Victorian terrace house in Chester. For many years, despite previous damp course installed, there were always persistent rising damp made worse by the areas near to a couple of very old fireplaces. The price provided was very competitive and work started and completed within the timeframes stated. Despite extensive plaster work being done, the team kept the place clean and tidy once finished. As it was a family firm, there were no subcontractors used, making it simple from start to finish. We are very pleased with the job done and will look at instructing Gary and his team to do some external rendering to the property in the near future.
