Creative Writer
I have been writing creatively since I was a child and won my first writing competition at the age of eleven for a short ghost story.
I have also completed and published two children's books for children aged nine to twelve which were well received and have given talks and held workshops in three local schools.
Poetry is a passion and I have either won or been commended in several poetry competitions.
I have had various poems published in anthologies and have also collaborated with an English composer on writing lyrics for her songs.
Journalist
I have wide ranging experience as a journalist, having written and edited articles for a variety of magazines from general interest to more specific topics such as PHotography, Dance, the Electronics and Insulation industries. I have also written news items for newspapers and journals.
I have worked as an assistant editor and am currently a correspondent for the local newspaper.
I have an Honours Diploma in Journalism and feel confident that I can turn my hand to any subject.
Poet
I have been writing poetry since the age of seven and have won several competitions including at the annual Winchester Writers' Conference.
My poems have been published in magazines such as the National Poetry Foundation's Pause as well as Reach magazine.
I have also had poems published in various mixed anthologies.
