We stayed with our whole family (7 rooms) the weekend of my sister in-laws wedding in Glasgow. The hotel is really close to the Barony Hall (reception venue). We had a wonderful time! The hotel rooms, food, beer garden (!) and overall atmosphere were all tremendous but what really made it were the staff. Everyone went over and above for us. We had a family meal on the upper restaurant the night before, they helped make sure we got flowers and gifts delivered when the arrived, they offered room service, they had special breakfast options for our kids. It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is really beautifully done after recent refurbishment. The restaurant food was varied and delicious. Surprise get away for my husbands birthday! Very warm welcome, felt relaxed and at home! Room was stunning and very comfortable and so stylish! Shower was just amazing with the extra special touch of gorgeous toiletries! A fan was placed in the room before our arrive due to the heat which was a very thoughtful idea as this made our stay more comfortable! My husband and I received a complimentary drink from the owners for my husbands birthday which was so kind and thoughtful of them and was very enjoyable within the relaxing bar! Had a lovely meal this evening at Cathedral House. Starters of Ham Hock Terrine with onion chutney & sourdough and Chilli Prawns with sourdough. Both were very tasty. Jasmine who looked after us was delightful. For mains we had the Mac Cheese with Bacon and Slow Roasted Pork Belly with a Honey, Chilli and Sesame glaze, served with Asian Slaw & Pak Choi. Such a lovely way to celebrate my birthday with my family. Food was absolutely delicious, staff were very attentive and the renovation undertaken is beautiful, quirky and modern. The atmosphere was really inviting, very busy with a great buzz for a Thursday night!
