Absolute mess from the get go. Red Funnel and EightbLink are taking the absolute P and it's no wonder they have filed papers at Companies House. Robin Hill has closed, black Gang Chine is falling into the sea and for what you can do it is way over priced. Camp sites are empty because of the over charging. Visited a farm cafe there in St Helens £10.50 for cheese on toast, £10.50. £15.00 For burger and chips. Absolute joke. Roads are just pot holes, shops in every single town boarded up, not just a few, I mean loads. Ferry has problems every single day without fail. They are cutting services to save money (greed), toilets, lifts or cafe not open/working. £200 for a return trip. False advertising about prices of crossing, if you want yo travel out of season at 3.00 am mid week you might get a cheaper crossing and don't get me started on the amount of shop lifters I witnessed. I can honestly say the Island is run by what seems like inbreds living in a ghetto. The council really needs to do something or be honest, come clean and say we don't want the tourists, but without them the Island would be bankrupt. All this is harsh but true. Festivals snd other events have all been cancelled. Just looks like an Island people go to whilst waiting for God More...

Lovely beaches, marvellous countryside for walks and beautiful views. Not overly commercialised. Great for family holidays. Plenty of interesting places to visit and pubs hotels and restaurants. My favourite beach is Sandown Bay, so much to do, the Dinosaur museum Fun golf course, Wildheart animal sanctuary, a pier, swimming and leisure centre, children's park, long promenade walk to Shanklin. Restaurants cater for most tastes. Flat seafront, and flat high street. However slope between the two roads, recommend more gentle slopes at the bottom of the high street. Plenty of car parks and street parking. Would give more stars but some derelict properties waiting to be renovated. More...

Seeing how the irresistible swing music of Django and Grapelli effects listeners, mostly their tapping toes!
