Gold Orchid Publishing is an e-book publishing company, interested in publishing any of the following genres of fiction:
Romance and Erotica, Crime, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Supernatural, Adventure, Action, and Angst (there are additional notes and guidelines for the genres in the Submission Guidelines). We also publish Poetry.
We are happy to publish works in any of the following languages - English, French and German.

We are interested in publishing good novels without making impossible for authors to keep their individuality!

Qualification level – BA
I have studied and am familiar (to varying degrees) with the following topics within Classics –
The Iliad, The Odyssey and The Aeneid
Greek and Roman Myth and Literature
Alexander The Great
Early Roman History (Rise of the Roman Republic) (inc. Punic Wars)
The Fall of the Roman Republic (inc. Cicero)
The Julio-Claudian Emperors

I have studied Latin (3 years – Intermediate level) and am comfortable with translation work. I have also studied Ancient Greek (1 year – Beginner level), but do not consider myself to be fluent enough to do translation.

My dissertation (result – 1st) was on the topic of “The Deity of Wisdom in the Ancient World”.

In general terms, my interests lie in particular with the themes of Mythology in the Ancient World (with a particular keenness on the Homeric works) and Politics and Warfare in Rome and Ancient Greece. I also connect Social Anthropological study methods to examine the social behaviour and structures visible through the written data preserved from the Ancient World, with a particular interest in indoctrination, socio-religious structures and linguistics.

I am available to help students with any of the topics that I have mentioned and am more than happy to give advice on where to find help with other themes and topics.
