Burway PR helps businesses sell to other businesses. I help mid-size and smaller firms gain media coverage and write content like website, brochures and customer stories. I secure media & social coverage through exciting news stories, industry comment, case studies, client interviews and blogs. I also write company CEOs' blogs, articles, white papers and brochures.
I don't do work for companies that are selling direct to consumers, so please don't contact me asking for help promoting a pub, a dog grooming service, restaurant, or a hair salon. It's really not my area of expertise!
Instead, I specialise in technology, B2B services, public sector and SMBs. I tend to work with companies that are ambitious, opinionated, or too busy micromanage PR / social media / marketing assets. I'm a CIPR and PRCA (PR trade bodies) member & I've worked in communications for over 25 years. I also help other PR & design companies with writing projects.
Recent work has included putting a UK technology integrator (SD-WAN, network and performance monitoring, etc.) at the forefront of its market with news and research; an edtech company launching to schools. I edited an architect's practice's website and I write customer case studies for business that want to support key products.
I'm based in London and I have clients across Britain and I can work flexibly or in clients' offices.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping great companies tell their story. We live in a 24/7 news cycle so there are endless opportunities to comment or hijack the media agenda or use different channels like LinkedIn Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to support a brand, a company or a service provider.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I worked in London PR firms, I loved giving mid-size and SME clients different news, comment and creative options, so I decided to set up on my own. Six years in, here I am. It doesn't matter if you're a tech startup or a B2B firm serving niche market, you can develop an effective and value-for-money media / social / industry profile with the right communications consultancy, messages and determination. Small companies can be more nimble than large ones doing PR - if they are ambitious and a little greedy!

I give clients value for money with endless content and news coverage ideas. I pitch ideas every day, because the media are more competitive than ever. I love social media - it's been a shot in the arm for business: it lets brands to communicate directly with customers and partners - without always having to deal with scary journalists or pushy advertising salespeople. Some firms are reluctant to use social media systematically - they're missing out.
