We booked last year for my brothers 60th birthday and having been really pleased with our stay, booked a room at The Brickhouse as a base to meet up with groups of old friends and relatives. The B&B is fantastically sited for Tunbridge Wells and the parking on site is a real bonus. Our en suite room was large, clean and with everything that you would need. Whilst there are loads of knick knacks and ornaments around the rooms which may not be to everyone’s taste, we thought they were charming and quirky. The bedroom equipped with all necessities eg. hairdryer, kettle, coffee/tea and wi fi. The water pressure in the shower was somewhat lacking.||Breakfast is served downstairs and was substantial, cooked to order and thoroughly enjoyable.||The Brickhouse is centrally located and you can walk to all attractions and shopping in Tunbridge Wells including the train station.|| We loved our home from home experience with you and look forward to another visit. We had a delightful and very comfortable stay at the lovely Brick House which we chose for its proximity to Tunbridge Wells for a Christmas shopping trip. Our room was large, warm, quiet and well-appointed with everything one could need. I don't usually sleep well but certainly did there. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Loads of choice at breakfast and it was delicious. The house was full of interesting things to look at and books to borrow. Only 5 minutes walk to a good shopping area with restaurants and 15 minutes walk to the Pantiles. ||||We'll definitely come back to enjoy more of Tunbridge Wells and to stay again at The Brick House. We were very impressed with the Brick House. Our room was spotlessly clean and very well decorated with comfortable beds. The full English breakfast was better than some I have had in expensive hotels and beautifully presented . Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. Apart from Tunbridge Wells itself it's just a short drive from Hever Castle and other places of interest. The house is full of character with interesting paintings and memorabilia around the place. We loved this place: it was everything we could have asked for. The house was quirky, very and scrupulously clean. It is a short walk downhill to the town’s pedestrian mall, with a good choice of cafes and restaurants. Clive and Julia were lovely hosts, very helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were superb! We stayed at the Brick House B&B for one night this weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Clive the owner who was friendly without being intrusive. Clive showed us where to park at the back of the B&B which was free and very convenient.||He also gave us a map of Tunbridge Wells and was very helpful and informative.||We were shown to our room which was a very large double en suite. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of character. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean.||The bathroom was huge with a bath and overhead shower. There were also toiletries provided.||We were asked to fill in a pre order breakfast form which was no problem for us.||We left to explore the town, The Brick House couldn't be in a better location and everything was easily walkable.||We had a fantastic nights sleep and came down to a wonderful breakfast all freshly cooked by Clive. Extremely comfortable, extremely friendly and the breakfasts were wonderful. The b&b is run by a couple who obviously enjoy looking after their guests and it was a delight to stay there. They have lived in the area for a great many years, know the town well and are able to help with any information needed. We stayed at the Brick House for two nights in July. Our room, No 2, was very clean and well furnished. The en-suite shower room was small, the water pressure in the shower weak and the basin extremely small. So small, that filling the kettle was an initiative test involving the tooth mug as a ladle. However, bottled water was provided, so we could have used that. The toiletries provided were of a good quality, as were the in-room beverages.||||Julia is welcoming and pleasant, but being asked to order breakfast requirements (including the flavour of fruit juice) at 5pm seems a little premature - surely it could be cooked while the guests are eating the cereals etc. The breakfast was well cooked, however.||||While our bedroom was spacious and uncluttered, Julia and Clive's taste in the public areas is most definitely not minimalist. Personally, I found the quantity of ornaments and pictures slightly claustrophobic - especially in the dining room. However, it's their home, they can have it it how they like it and most other guests obviously don't find it a problem - so good luck to them. Overall, the Brick House seemed to be efficiently managed and extremely clean.||||Location-wise, it is easy to find for through traffic. A few restaurants are easily walked to, but it's a bit of a hike to the Pantiles. More...
