How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Normally by the condition of the structure ie the state of the masonary and how good of condition the roof is in.

Normally to door comes off first and is bricks up, usually with a window. Then the whole structure is insulated, if a new floor is to be fitted this is done next. Then the walls are dabbed and skimmed so decorating can start.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
By looking at head height and wether the original structure is suitable to be used.

Any strengthening to the original roof is done first, then the whole room is insulated, a floor is laid then any services put in before boarding the walls.
