Counselling

Excellent value for money. Emily provided me all the help and support I needed and I'm much better for it.

Abi's treatments have pretty much eliminated my daughters intake of painkillers for headaches due to studying and exam stress which has been a lifesaver through the revision period ! Her approach is gentle, holistic she is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend More...

Had a slight lower back pain that would come on after standing for long periods. Was diagnosed quickly and fixed within 2 sessions. I've not had any pain since I went in a month or so ago so excellent. More...

Abi managed to, very gently, transform me from someone in extreme acute lower back pain to someone who could get into a car without yelping in pain! who could actually put their *own* socks on and who could actually function! I’m very grateful! Both Anne & Abi are great. I highly recommend them. The clinic is a wonderful oasis of calm. More...

I visited Tillow due to back and neck pains. I saw Abi Mcguiness who helped me with chiropractic, acupuncture and massage. This treatment worked very well and I am pleased I visited. Abi is friendly and professional as well as effective. The place is small and welcoming although in the middle of nowhere (which could be thought of as a positive). I would recommend treatment here. A normal 45 minute session (after the first initial consultation) is £45. There is plenty of parking outside. More...

I have been visiting Anne now for a couple of years and this is the first time since having my child (40 years ago) that I haven't been plagued with sciatica. Over the years I have tried physios, osteopaths and other chiropractors, but it wasn't until I found Anne that I have become pain free. She has also sorted out my neck and shoulder problems. The McTimoney method is so gentle - there is no yanking or pulling about - but I have found it to be highly effective. I would recommend Anne without any hesitation. More...

Anne Yorke has been sorting out my back for the past ten years or so, whenever I've done something daft such as over-zealous gardening or over-enthusiastic exercising. The first time I met her I could scarcely walk, the pain in my back was excruciating. I hobbled into her clinic and at the end of the session, I skipped out, free of pain. To me it was little short of a miracle. Since then Anne has come to my rescue on many occasions. I don't know how she does it, but with a gentle tweak here, a nudge there ( so it seems to me) some soothing massage and sometimes some acupuncture, the pain and aching has melted away. In addition to this, she's a very easy person to talk to and has endless patience. She deserves more than five stars. More...

Anne's ability as a chiropractor is amazing. There have been many times that I've put my back out completely and been in loads of pain and I've walked out, having had a session with Anne, straight and pain free. Seriously she's brilliant and I would highly recommend her! More...

Q&As

I find my work as a counsellor endlessly fascinating, as no two clients are ever the same. It is so fulfilling to see clients become more empowered as we work together, and start to take more control of their wellbeing and how they want to be in the world - most of my clients start to see a shift in around 6 sessions.

I have worked many jobs on my journey to becoming a counsellor - from waitress to postman to shopkeeper and so on. One thing I found in many of these roles is the pressure that so many people are put under these days to give more and more to their work. Reclaiming more balance in our lives is often a key part of reclaiming our wellbeing, and working as a counsellor has enabled me to do this.

While I would love people to come to me its important that each person feel empowered to find a counsellor that feels right for them - research shows that the counsellor client relationship is one of the key factors in whether or not therapy is successful.

Yes, I currently work exclusively online. I am able to offer sessions over Whatsapp, Zoom, Skype, Googlemeet - I'm flexible with what works easiest for you.
