Best Wester PLUS Manor Hotel Meriden

Modern clean hotel with good service. Room was a nice size with a very comfertable bed. Check in was quick and easy, we didnt eat in the hotel in teh evening but the breakfast was excellent with good quality produce, self service but refreshed regularly.

Very good value room plus car parking drew me in, and I anticipated totally functional and unimpressive service.||If I were being critical, I might say this hotel is slightly faded in places (but absolutely clean) - but for less than the cost of a week's airport parking it was exceptional. ||Staff - cheery, interested, knowledgeable, proactive, plentiful - as good as anywhere I've ever been (including 5*+ places).||Catering - nibbles for a group of us in the evening and full breakfast superb for the price.||Adaptable - late check out no problem. ||Comfortable - a full length bath! Good size room. Slept very well. ||Tipping policy - I actively wanted to (a fairly rare event!) and asked if tips were shared: "We don't really do tips..." was the response. Collared a manager to thank and his response was very gracious - took no credit for himself but thanked me and immediately said he would let the team know. ||||Location fine - enjoyed a grand walk out in the morning. Revisited the Manor again for a get together with Family in the area! Every time we visit we genuinely are made to feel so welcome. ||The bedroom was immaculately clean and had everything you could need. The whole hotel is cared for well! Stayed here this last weekend for 1 night - good village with various choices for evening meal if the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse isn't your thing. Hotel room was large, clean and well equiped. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Only thing I would say was that breakfast could have been a bit better - didn't think the sausages looked very good quality and fresh tomatoes would have been preferable to tinned (but guess that is a bit of a personal choice). We privately hired the Triumph Bar on Saturday for a 30th birthday. The Triumph Bar is absolutely beautiful and is a real hidden gem within the Manor Hotel in Meriden. ||||All the staff were superb from the planning stages of the party to on the day setting up the room. Checking in was a breeze. The reception team were all so helpful. ||||All the rooms were a great size and very clean. I wanted to place some small shots in the rooms for our guest and ||the housekeeping team placed personalised slates with them in on which was just fantastic. ||||The team who looked after us on the evening were great too, Kieran, Erol, Holly and the team were great hosts’ serving arriving drinks to the mini slider burgers and fries. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had a smile on their faces. ||||I also wanted to mention Gareth and Pete on the nights team. At 1am the disco finished and we all congregated to to lounge area where we all continued order drinks and order food from the menu. Not only was our party in the lounge but other party goers were and they continued to serve everyone and left us to continue our night which was great! ||||If you’re looking for a party venue, look no further than the Manor Hotel. Well where to start, we have stayed here several times and we will definitely stay again. The hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas. The room is comfy with all you need, if a little warm but better than being cold. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and makes it a relaxing place to stay. We were served in the by Hayley on Sunday who was great. Even though they were short staffed and she hadn't been there very long, she looked after us with a beaming smile and so attentive to all the customers. We had two couples near both celebrating special occasions and she made them both feel extra special and still looked after us all. We'll done Hayley. Then again on Monday Tom served us and he was as attentive even though it was again busy. The only thing is we feel the food is a little over priced and because the other bar isn't open you are abit limited. Well what can I say, I have to stay in a lot of hotels in my work and this was a lovely experience. ||Checking in was a breeze and took literally 2 mins and no waiting. ||The room was accessible yet out of the way of heavy footfall. ||Tidy and pleasant decor inside and out of the hotel. Great parking and beautiful setting. ||Now here comes the best part... ||The Marco Pierre White restaurant was fantastic. It was decorated for Christmas with illuminated garlands and gave the whole room a cosy winter feel. ||Even warmer than the atmosphere were the staff... and special mention must be made to the delightful Bethany who took the time to make the dining experience very pleasant and always seemed to be there when I needed anything. ||The food was amazing. From the presentation , choice, excellent wine selection, quality and taste. It was the best meal I’d had for some time. Booked an executive room with King sized bed. Didn’t appear any better then a standard room. 1 pack of biscuits between two. Standard dropped from previous stays. Lots of hair on bathroom floor. Great location so will just book a standard room next time. Curtains didn’t close so room was brightly lit at night. Could hear someone sneezing and weeing during the night also someone’s phone vibrating. Hardly slept a wink. Bed uncomfortable, rolling into the centre. Lots of noise from early in the morning. I stayed here for one night while travelling through the area. The hotel is very well presented, clean and tidy. ||Public areas are immaculate with a nice bar and a Steakhouse restaurant, although I didn’t fancy eating here so by turning right on the main road a five minute walk is a lovely country style Gastro pub called ‘The Bull’ which has great food and a nice cosy beamed bar. ||My room was pretty traditional not a bad size, bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine with shower and bath, the room had a safe in it as well.||Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and good service.||I found all the staff professional and provided a great service.||Overall this is a very well run hotel and recommended.|| More...

We used this hotel to stay in over night on the 19th Oct to fly out of Birmingham airport first thing on the 20 th Oct|Very pleasant stay happy and helpful staff |The cab was booked for early Morning and arrived early and very clean car|Within 10 mins we was in the airport ready for the holiday|We was given a card to ring in return for a taxi and when we returned we called and it was there within 10 mins very good|We did have a small problem but the management dealt with this very well and very efficiently |I would recommend this hotel if you want to park for the airport and we would use again |Once again many thanks for your help and providing a very nice stay

I had a two day exhibition to attend at the NEC and so wanted to stay locally. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the room was. The bed had nice linen and was cozy to sleep on. Had a deal with them for 2 nights including breakfast and 50% off in the restaurant. Not told on checking in that restaurant was fully booked, offered up same deal for room service but only room service menu and had to pay a tray charge regardless. Eventually allowed us a table as we have 2 children who should not be eating dinner on a bed but had to eat quickly and lots of menu not available, lots of drinks not available also as bar run out. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem schönen alten Landsitz. Das Gebäude selber ist sehr weitläufig, die Zimmer sind sauber. In meinem Zimmer hatte ich zuerst gar keinen Wifi Empfang. Nach einer Beschwerde am Empfang wurde mir jedoch ein neues Zimmer mit besserem Empfang zugewiesen. We had our wedding here a year ago, and part of the deal was to stay for our first anniversary. What a wonderful experience, we were treated so well by all the staff, they were all polite and friendly and everyone knew it was our wedding anniversary. We were treated to a bottle of sparkle in the room and a treat after dinner of sweet treats, beautifully done.. The Hotel was clean and airy, and we had a superb room, bright and clean, with recent new carpets. would again recommend for a wedding and an ordinary stay. Large car park so plenty of parking. So the Manor, it’s staff and its Marco Pierre White restaurant has excelled itself once again! We were back last night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we met there 4 years ago and married there a year ago today! |As always the room was perfect, but on this occasion I’d like to spotlight the restaurant and the staff, the food last night was amazing but the service was the best i had EVER experienced anywhere! Our waitress Hayley was amazing, very professional and polite and generally a really nice person even though it was only her second night there but you never would have known. The restaurant manager (apologies I didn’t get his name) again was very professional and polite but also made time to talk to us and working in customer service myself I noticed that he had his team working in perfect harmony and he was 101% on the ball at all times as well as ‘getting his hands dirty’ and not just delegating! |Even though this was more than enough for us they topped the evening off, as our anniversary stay was complementary with an evening meal i was advised we would have £29 per person included so our drinks and anything over that we were expecting to pay but when we asked for the bill we were told it was taken care of with compliments of the hotel!! We were absolutely gobsmacked! Amazing food, drinks, staff and service and we never spent a penny!
