What do you love most about your job?
I love the challenge of solving a problem and get great satisfaction in providing elegant solutions. An elegant solution is one which is fully functional and implemented, to purpose, simple to use and cost effective.
I have provided IT support and training for over 25 years, since the early days of desktop computing, helping people to move forward with their work, alleviating some of the frustration of having to work with devices that often defy logic.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have run my own IT support businesses in the UK and Bhutan, this being my third occasion, interleaved between experience working for humanitarian organisations in Bhutan, Thailand and The Netherlands.
Running my own business is simply in my make-up.
Why should our clients choose you?
I migrated from engineering into IT through interest when PCs were just beginning to replace typewriters, ledgers and calculators and have a track record of implementing lasting systems on platforms new and old.
I am very personable and a great communicator and will not try to blind you with technology. My success in multilingual organisation, with English largely as a second language, demonstrates my ability to communicate technically at all levels and across cultures.
I am determined to provide a service which leaves customers with a warm feeling, which is why I love my work.
Network, Database and IT Support
Have provided Network, Database and IT Support as an IT Consultant in the UK and Bhutan and while employed for two International NGOs in Thailand and The Netherlands.
Computer Training
Have provided computer training in MS Office and common multimedia software as well as training in bespoke applications, both as a consultant and while employed.
Have trained in multicultural environments and have travelled through Bhutan providing training for government officials and staff of NGOs working in Bhutan.
Mobile Software Development
Have developed a series of utility apps for all common mobile platforms with over 8 million paid and free downloads.
Also developed apps for specific purposes including for an FAO (UN Agency) sponsored project.
General Software development
Been developing medium sized data systems since 1992 including for the government of Bhutan and International NGOs.
These include project monitoring and evaluation, document sharing, data analysis, retail and salary systems.
Web Development
Have set up Wordpress and Google Sites websites, but specialize in mobile app/web data connected solutions using PHP.
