Q&As

I love people. I cherish an opportunity to help my clients make the changes they need to live the lives they want.

I am passionate about building resilience and self-confidence in my clients so that they can overcome adversities and challenges when they happen.

I qualified as a lawyer in 1992 and worked as a barrister in Warsaw. As prestigious and rewarding as this career was, I soon realised that my heart wasn’t in it. I loved working with people, but I was more drawn to their emotional well-being and the psychological side of their suffering than in legal solutions and winning court battles. When I moved to the UK I took the opportunity to change directions in my career. I trained as an integrative counsellor at the University of East London and qualified in 2003.

Since then I have never looked back. I began working as a drug and alcohol counsellor in HMP Brixton, and then as a counsellor in HMP Wandsworth, as well as working with a number of private clients.

I take a unique approach to helping my clients, as I have personal experience of living with addictions, divorce, changing countries and professions – not belonging. I approach people from a position of somebody who is also still struggling with life and has compassion to client’s struggles, rather than an expert with a ready made solution. Put simply, I walk the talk.

Services

I can help you improve any important relationship in your life.
It can be your child or sibling, life partner or business partner, colleague or friend.
You can come together or just yourself.
I help couples who feel they lost connection and understanding in redesigning their relationship into a new, well working model, even if they think their relationship is beyond repair. I do it by showing how to change communication patterns, getting rid of the “baggage” from the past and finding shared values and passions that will take them through for following years.
I help couples struggling with intimacy to find their own way of expressing their love and sexuality with effective strategies and exercises, even if they think they can’t possibly even talk to each other about it
I help ex-spouses conflicted by legal battle over child maintenance and custody to find a way to amicably communicate over childcare and financial matters with effective conflict resolution exercises and reframing their relationship, even if they think the bridges have been burned

Mindfulness practice helps with stress reduction as well as with managing chronic pain, depression, addiction, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD) and some other mental health conditions
Mindfulness training teaches us to develop a distance to thoughts, feelings and emotions, as something that we DO, not who we ARE.
Once we see that, we can be more in charge of our lives. By being fully aware of the present moment we take away the power of the past and the future over us.
In the process of mindfulness training I will introduce you to simple exercises and routines that will help you to transform your life:
Exercises you can introduce to your daily routine
Gentle physical exercises to increase awareness of your body
Meditation exercises
