We had an amazing time at Barge East! I came with my family who were visiting from Belgium and we really enjoyed our time there. Fantastic staff who made us feel comfortable right away, epic views over the canal and absolutely delicious food with very creative veggie/vegan options. Hackney Wicks answer to Michelin on a Boat! Everything is simply outstanding. Cannot recommend it high enough and I am probably the biggest foodie on the planet. It feels like a home away from home with it's warm cozy atmosphere and the food is so comforting it hugs you. It is also doggie friendly which ranks it at 12/ 10! :) Lots of vegetarian options too! Where do we start!! Celebrated a birthday with a large group last night and just wow. Rarely bother reviewing places but had to get online today. The friendliest bar staff (recommend the Roller IPA it’s yum). The most incredible, delicious, devine food we’ve had in ages!! We had lots of small plates and I can honestly say every dish was superb and to have food arrive seamlessly for a group of circa 25 is impressive. We stayed for drinks after dinner too and the atmosphere is just perfect. An evening well spent with friends, suitable for all ages and even better dog friendly - will be back! More...
