First time at the athena attend comic con 2017 the staff was friendly and helpful and brilliant in security I felt safe with everything that has happened it's easy to get to the town is 5 minutes away

1st time been to comic con and it was brilliant will go again. The venue was easy to find, stalls set out with lots of different merchandise, well worth the price of admission.

Attended @[1611649629121929:Comic Con Leicester] at Athena June 3-4 2017. The staff and security were very helpful and seemed to enjoy the event. The stalls were well arranged and despite being a complete sell out, access was never difficult, even for those in big costumes. It was very hot inside, even with the aircon on full. The bar was very pricey and there was no food on sale. We had a good time there. No complaints. More...

Good venue...nice atmosphere...diverse crowd reflected by diverse comedians...only issue is that they are only 2 hand dryers in the ladies toilets...

Absolute great venue in terms of atmosphere, service, standards, catering and management support Hira & Rhiannah, Georgia and the Team.

I enjoyed my night at Athena to see chubby Brown. The only sad thing is I came out to see two traffic wardens giving chubby a parking ticket.

With a venue this size its excellent however, you should cater for food and on show nights some people are coming from work and a lite bite would be perfect.

It is a good venue, parking is good, the only problem I found is you don't serve food, it would be great if you have just hotdog/ burger stall anything like that, came to see Chubby last night straight from work hoping to get some food but nothing!

I had a great time! drinks too expensive tho!:-(

NYE at Athena was simply amazing ! From start to finish we had a blast ! My best NYE night out to date, we will be returning next year. Good show Athena well executed.

Very good evening for NYE and 30th Birthday celebration. Plenty of drinks and canapes on arrival. Food was served swiftly and it was nice and hot. New Years Eve party, a very busy evening but the staff were very efficient at getting the food out to everyone. Delicious food, very tasty, hot and well presented. Pre-ordered Wine was on the table. Plenty of canapés and drinks on arrival. excellent circus performamce but wish there was a bit more of this entertainment. Good DJ playing the sounds that got everyone up for a dance. Had a great night on our works do, food and entertainment was brill, staff where polite and helpful. Had to go back in after we left as we could not get our parking ticket to work, a male member of the bar stack came out to the car park to help resolve the issue for us (was my error). Had a fantastic Christmas works Party there on Saturday, the circus acts were brilliant, amazing food and very professional service topped off with a bacon cobs at midnight - loved it - great venue and will definitely be coming back!

It was amazing Circus show. The food was excellent and served very professional. Brilliant idea with the Casino made my night I came 2nd overal on the roulette wheel and won the bottle of champagne. Came here for GinFest 2016, lovely venue! Easy to get to, clean and well run. Also not too warm, which is great after a few bevvies.

Had a fabulous evening celebrating British Gymnastics annual awards evening. Venue was incredible, staff very attentive pleasant and polite. The only disappointing factor was the bar ran out of my favourite wine Pinot Grigio at 8:30pm after the bar had only been open for 1 hour. More...

Fabulous place, could not be bettered as a fight venue. Great facilities, centrally situated! Viewed some great boxing events there, very well organised!

I can't tell you how impressed we were with this venue. We have just had our unconventional wedding party there and they did an amazing job. Stunning venue, friendly and professional staff with everything running smoothly and on time. The food was delicious and the chefs attention to detail was appreciated. Decorated beautifully and great atmosphere. Didn't like being packed in like sardines before the meal as you aren't allowed in the dining room until a certain time. Food was delicious but a not enough of it although the "trio of chocolate desserts" was actually a double and one of them was a biscuit with icecream on top! The midnight bacon cobs were delicious. The waitressing staff dropped turkey on our table and didn't even pick it up. There were no side plates layed out for our soup so I had to spread my bread in my hand. The entertainment was brilliant and the music at the end was great although the dance floor was too small and the steps up to it wobbly although two members of staff were there holding them. One other thing is you had to climb two sets of stairs to go to the toilet!! Overall though a great night. More...
