I had been having difficulty for years with feeling overwhelmed and panicked every time something negative happened to me. Whether this was something in my business or my personal life for example my daughter being late for school. I found I blamed myself, I felt like an awful person, I felt like I wanted to run away from the situation and hide and I worried what other people thought of me. This was impacting on my business and on my life in general. I decided to go to Anne Twyford for single session counselling. This consisted of a phone call where Anne asked me lots of questions focused on this particular problem. I then meet Anne in person at her therapy room in Kings Hill for an hour and a half session. After the session I received a full transcription of our session. During this session Anne helped me to focus on how I felt leading up to and during the time and to talk about it. She helped me to find the reasons for my problem and helped me think of ways to manage this feeling in the future so I could move forward with my life and business. I feel, during this session I was able to deal with this emotion and the cause of it which has helped me to move forward without feeling like this every time something negative happens like my daughter being late for school. I am now able to think rationally about each negative situation and not feel overwhelmed and panicked. Anne was very professional and made me feel at ease straight away. I found Anne easy to talk too about my how I felt. After the session I felt like a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I have been able to move forward past this problem and when, very occasionally I start to feel like this, I use the strategies Anne helped me to come up with to cope with it and it passes very quickly.
