The fit felt great, she put me at my ease immediately when she came to do the fittings, and as someone more used to jeans and wellies than dresses, I really appreciated all her advice on how to manage moving around, sitting down, and so on in a fishtail dress with a train!

What do you love most about your job?
I turned my hobby into my business, I have always sewn and now have over 40years experience in the bridal industry. I do not churn out alterations on an industrial scale, I deal with a small select number of appointments as you only get one chance to get it right and gown deserve to be altered with care and attention not rushed at the last minute. I fit gowns 6-8 weeks before your wedding mainly on a Sunday.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for various bridal boutiques for years who charged an alteration fee upfront whatever was done, the alteration staff were not paid this in full not even half but the public were not aware of this they thought we were paid full amount. You had no choice but to do alterations on gowns not really suitable to the bride as staff had no idea or very little about construction or how to alter a gown so alterations were over promised and we carried the can for it. I never promise what i can't deliver, I will be truthful and up front about any alteration and explain reasons why. yes much is possible and i really do enjoy what I do, for me its not a job its a vocation.
Why should our clients choose you?
I think clients should find a seamstress they trust with their gown, if there is no trust then it can be a bumpy ride, price is not always a great guide and the cheapest or the most expensive is not always the best you get what you pay for, do your homework, check out reviews, talk to friends, ask to talk to past clients, check out pages photos etc talk with the seamstress.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I follow guidelines strictly and always wear a face shield, gowns are quarenteened 24 hours and steamed before delivery. I have had all covid vaccines.

Have been involved with formular one clothing,coca cola, have shown own designs at bridal fares on the catwalk, and have worked for various industries large and small scale. Have been sewing all my life. I now fit and alter Bridal/prom/special occasion wear and offer an all inclusive alteration package which can be done in the comfort of your own home. Experienced with all the top makes Toi,caroline castigliano, Holliwood Dreams too many to mention. I can also offer a dressing and steaming service on your special day. Don't pay the extortionate alteration charges at some bridal stores. I have 30 years experience in the buisiness and am now available to hire privately.
