I started puppy training with Christina but I knew I needed more training(not Willow, cause she's fab but just didnt listen to me). Talking through things with Christina really made sense. Especially how my emotions affected my pups behaviour. With pure heartbreak I had to re home my dog and thank you to this wonderful lady she found my Noble the most perfect home. She was very understanding and has been so helpful throughout the whole process, took her time to know him in and out to make sure he was well suited. When he went to his new home she helped him settle and is still currently working with him to help with some training and behavioural issues. I had my first session last weekend as my dog had been very scared around new people and snaps at them if someone goes to stroke him, goes near him or comes in our home. During the session, Christina helped me understand why my dog was doing this and how to alter the behaviour. I used Animal Instinct over a year ago now with our puppy, we had a training group with a few others and their pups In our local park It was so good and money well spent. As new dog owners we where scared to let our dog off the lead and trust in the process / you should have no fear / this is excellent training ! Brilliant advice and it works. Our pup or should I say dog is now one year and 3.5 months old, we let her off the lead, she comes back at recall - she sits when we say. Just brilliant - of course she had her mad moments at home playing with toys but out and about being socialised since doing this training she is amazing - highly recommend it .Christina is an amazing lady and knows her stuff. Christina came to my home at a time when Teddy my youngest dog and I were so out of sinc and love with each other I was actually considering refining him as an option. Christina patiently listened to all my concerns turning what I thought were silly annoying behaviours into a complete science that made such sense. With her advice I have changed my dogs diet incorporating more vegetables, the treats I give him when training all have a more calming effect on his gut and behaviour. Changed my whole approach to meeting other dogs, the dog leads I use in fact most things I do with my dog. The result is so dramatic he really trusts me to take care of him which has removed so much stress out of his world. What do you love most about your job?
There is nothing that can match this for me. I love being present with another, really being with the other and talking from the deepest place. Deep and authentic communication, from another species! What tops that?!
And the fact that I can make a difference in this way, to animals whole behaviour modification might not work for, is incredibly satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love doing this. No other job compares. I have always been very practical and unable to find a job that stimulated me enough. This is practical and highly stimulating. It benefits everyone.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a combination of practical experience, knowledge and the ability to communicate. I develop this ability daily, and I selflessly report what the animal wishes to express, because I am there to act as the animal’s voice.
It is rare to find a communicator with the behavioural insight I also offer.

Dog and Puppy 1-to-1 Sessions
I come to your home for these training sessions, to be able to tailor the training perfectly for your needs. Each training session is very different because each dog responds to training in slightly different ways, which means it cannot simply be learnt about online. It needs someone to get on their wavelength (and yours) and bridge the gap between you both. Each session lasts 1-1.5 hours. Discounts are offered for package deals. Usually people need 3-4 sessions, but often people have less and very rarely people want more.
It’s very important that you do training with the trainer, rather than leave the animal somewhere to be trained. This is because often the issues come from the dynamic between the person and dog.
Dog and Cat Behaviour Consultations
In these sessions the animal is treated holistically, and training is often only a small but necessary part of the session. They last anywhere from 1.5-3 hours, I send you a report afterwards to refer back to and you also receive a follow-up call a few weeks later to go through any questions. This is all included in the price.
These consultations go far beyond anything that can be learnt online or in books, if done by someone qualified and with experience. Unfortunately I am seeing too many people now who have said that they’ve seen a “behaviourist” in the past, who either made no difference, used unkind methods, or actually made the situation worse. And when I ask what they were told to do it is without fail stuff that can be easily read online. Legally anyone can call themselves a behaviourist, but if you want someone who really knows what they are doing, look for someone with relevant experience and a qualification done in-person, rather than online. I have both. I have worked with many companion animals and rescue dogs and cats, helping them to become more adoptable. I have seen some very strange cases and believe I have seen almost every behaviour issue possible but I never say never! I also have a Distinction in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Newcastle University.
