From the first contact with Andrew, we knew we had picked the perfect photographer to capture the special moments of our wedding day. From the start, he was helpful, responsive and professional in ensuring the day would go ahead perfectly. Andrew wanted to make the effort to meet us and get to know us before the wedding so he knew exactly what type of photos we would want and if we had any special requests. Andrew was our photographer at our wedding in August. He was terrific to say the least, he kept in regular contact before the day making sure he knew exactly what was wanted. Andrew is one of the most patient individuals I have ever worked with. He took on the huge task of producing high quality individual and group photographs for my new website, which meant co-ordinating with busy Physiotherapists and driving to all parts of Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, often just to get one photo!

We had Andrew photograph our wedding reception in September (got married abroad). From the moment we first contacted Andrew he provided excellent service, regularly keeping in touch. He was fantastic in taking into account what we were after and the locations we wished to get photos at. Andrew made us both feel really at ease and knew how to get the best out of us for our photos. Although it was a (very) windy day Andrew still captured some incredible shots by the sea. Andrew was very punctual and at the reception he does a great job of mingling and again getting some great shots when you don't even realise he is there. Andrew recently photographed our wedding at Dalhousie Castle outside Edinburgh. We arranged our wedding from Australia, and I discovered Andrew by looking at samples of photo styles online. His style was exactly what we wanted, natural and artistic. Andrew really captured the essence of our wedding - and without us even knowing he was there most of the time! Andrew was a true professional from start to finish. As myself and my wife live in Australia, we had to communicate via email and skype, Straight away Andrew was always available when we had any questions regarding our day. Andrew was amazing from the very moment we booked him. Firstly, he answered all my (many) questions by email and then we had a lengthy chat on the phone where we ran through everything which really helped put my mind at ease. He was then good enough to travel through to Glasgow to meet with us and discuss further and to show us his portfolio, sample albums etc. On the wedding day he arrived early and made no fuss - you really wouldn't have known he was there (he was very calm). He managed to capture some truly beautiful photos which we will treasure forever. Our album arrived this week and again I cannot fault it - the quality is second to none. Andrew was the ultimate gentleman throughout the whole process. From the moment we got in contact with him, he put my now wife at ease and was confident we had booked the right photographer for what we wanted. She was spot on.

He listened to what we wanted and he delivered. He made no fuss, explained clearly what he needed from us and replied to emails promptly. The preparation could not have been easier from our side.

Andrews cool, calm and collected manner was exactly what we needed on the day. He blended into the background capturing all the moments we missed. How he does it, I have no idea!

The photo quality was received was beyond our expectations. We were able to relive our wedding day through Andrews photography. The natural shots are majestic while the staged shots still have so much heart and soul in them.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Andrew as our wedding photographer.
Not knowing what to expect, we were quickly assured by his calm demeanor and fantastic care he took in meeting with us and going through all the things we might expect from his service.

His portfolio amazed and delighted us. Having the ability to catch both the grandest scenes and the minute expressions people have during their weddings.

On the big day, he was gentle and happy to help in any way possible.
It was my first time putting on a kilt and he helped me sort through the outfit, taking pictures as I tried to assemble myself into one. Throughout the day he made sure to capture every bit of beauty that was found at the event and venue, capturing the happy and silly moments.

Like a Scottish Collin Firth, Andrew’s gentlemanly presence helped us both during our wedding as a photographer and as a pillar of support.

I searched for weeks if not months for 'the one'...nope not my lovely hubby... But the RIGHT wedding photographer ;-) . We hired Andrew to do our wedding photography at Gilmerton House in May of this year. As we live in London, we had very few recommendations for photographers in the East Lothian area and found him by doing a search online.

We were hesitant to use a photographer with no personal recommendations for something so important, but Andrew was very swift at responding to my enquiries and on my next trip to Scotland, made the effort to meet with me in person.

On meeting Andrew and reviewing the photo albums he had created for previous weddings it was clear that he would be able to provide what we were looking for on our wedding day. Andrew was a delight to work with. He kept in regular contact with me leading up to the wedding to ensure that he was aware of any particular photographs I wanted and on the actual day, he was considerate, accommodating and very patient with us - particularly for the group photos which took a bit of ‘herding’. He made us and our guests feel comfortable (especially the groom who is camera shy) and his manner was very unobtrusive. This suited us well as we had a small wedding (25 people) and he fit in perfectly.

We were aiming for a relaxed and intimate day and felt that Andrew caught it all through a selection of candid and traditional shots. He also got some photos of the venue, including some of the finer details without being prompted for which I am particularly grateful as I did not have the time to fully appreciate them on the day.

I would happily recommend Andrew. I am grateful to him for providing a wonderful service and capturing some of our most treasured memories on camera. More...

We are so delighted that Andrew photographed our wedding and did the pre-wedding photos. The pictures are so amazing, so many wonderful memories of a truly happy day . .. it shows so clearly in the faces of our guests what a happy day it was for all. Myself and my husband, Alastair, had a very particular idea of what we wanted from our photography on the day of our wedding and Andrew exceeded all expectations. He made everyone on the big day feel extremely comfortable, and he always caught everything that was happening on film without feeling obtrusive.
