AMM Hair and Make up Team ltd

In May I had my dream wedding with my husband. After reading the reviews, I booked AMM. Almost immediately following booking, Ann became unresponsive and difficult to communicate. Despite asking multiple times for my artist's names and examples of work, it was never provided. I was incredibly nervous but given the timeline of my elopement, I had few alternatives. Unfortunately, we had to change locations of the place we stayed the night before my wedding. I let the makeup artist know and asked her to contact the hair artist (as Ann never provided her contact info). It was not until the morning of my wedding that I learned that Ann did my properly schedule arrival times to meet my ceremony time. The artists also took nearly an hour longer than I was quoted for time. Understandably, I panicked. Rather than being empathetic or offering solutions or retribution she was dismissive and blamed me and the artists despite each of us having a record of her incorrectly booking. Upon the artists' arrival, they shared this is not uncommon. The makeup artist has since left AMM as a result. I asked for fishtail braids and received regular braids. The hair artist put dark brown, wrapped elastics with metal clasps at the end of them (I ended up taking them out). The domino effect of Ann's carelessness cost us a lot both financially and in things that cannot be replaced. We started our day nearly two hours late. We booked a musician for 2.5 hours and only had him for 30 minutes. We lost two booked hours with our photographer. We had to remove a location from our wedding entirely. More importantly than the hundreds of pounds lost, we lost time and memories on our wedding day that can never be replaced. Through it all, Ann not only never accepted fault, but guilted ME for making her feel bad after all of her hard work. When I asked for a refund, she was resistant and doubled-down. At that point, I stopped responding. I have been hesitant to write this review because I cannot think about these events without getting upset two months later and other reviews on this page are great. However, recently a young woman who came across my Instagram photos (which ended up lovely despite all) and asked who I have for hair and makeup. She mentioned she was desperate because she was working with someone who was unprofessional and nonresponsive and her wedding is in a few short weeks. I was saddened but unsurprised to hear this was Ann from AMM as our experiences sounded similar. I caution all who seek AMM for their special day. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I experienced on what is supposed to be one of the happiest, most memorable days of their lives. More...

They kept everyone calm (especially me, Anne Marie could sense I was starting to go and was amazing at bringing me back from the brink) Their talent is very clear to see and my full bridal party got stunning compliments ALL day. I highly recommend AMM team for your wedding make up. They might be a little more expensive than your standard make up artist BUT the service and experience you are getting with this team is second to none. I am not particularly a big make up person but this actually made my make up even more important for my special day as I did not want to look ‘too done’. Natural, class and timeless was my brief and they certainly delivered. It’s also important to note that their customer service was amazing from my initial enquiry, trial, ideas right through to on the morning of our wedding day. Carol and Bryan were first class. Anne Marie and Julie are an absolute dream, and honestly, they made my wedding. As a remote bride planning a wedding from Chicago, this all could have been very daunting- but they were perfect from the first email to making sure the last hair was perfectly placed before I walked down the aisle. They are sweet, funny, kind, and insanely amazing at what they do. They executed my hair and makeup vision PERFECTLY, and all my bridesmaids and the mothers adored their hair and makeup too. Seriously, we all looked SO high end and gorgeous, I was amazed. I was so nervous about my hair and makeup since I wanted it to be perfect on the day, but still ME, and that is exactly what they did. I couldn't recommend AMM team highly enough. My first contact was with the lovely Bryan. From the first email until my wedding day the communication was perfect. I had a trial with Anne Marie and Amy (Kettles) and they knew exactly what I was after from seeing a few Pinterest photos I brought along. I had a little elopement with just a few witnesses...so Anne Marie and Amy were a big part of my morning. They helped me into my dress and helped me fasten my shoes. Anne Marie also stayed behind to fix my hair after the wind nearly made off with my veil. This was despite the fact her parking was about to run out. I couldn't recommend them enough. Where do I start at how amazing these ladies are. Any bride would be lucky to have these guys. For all brides this is one of the most important things to get right and my word do they get it just right. Reassuringly professional from the outset with Bryan who is the ultra efficient communication manager, everything is really clearly marked out with contracts and full guidance on prep and timings for the day making a brides life so much easier and stress free. My Make-Up artist Joyce was a dream. She made me look flawless and also like me. It was perfectly balanced which looked so natural but glamourous. I was gobsmacked. Anne-Marie the owner and hair stylist is extraordinary. I wanted retro glamour and she created a Hollywood glam masterpiece. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. What a easy going manner she had. She kept me so clam and collected. I wish I could have her around me all the time! On the day she made sure I was completely cared for with Prosecco and even sorted out the flowers so they were dry at the bottom so we didn't have any drips on our dresses. I can't recommend AMM enough! I used them for myself, my mum and bridesmaids back in May and they made us feel like princesses! We had such a laugh getting ready - Anne-Marie, Joyce and team were all so lovely and calm which in turn helped me. I wasn't sure about a couple of things following the trial but they were wonderful at putting my mind at ease and making those perfect tweaks on the day. With a group of 11 for hair and make-up on the wedding morning, these ladies were set a big task. I could not have asked for a more wonderful team to help us all with our hair and make- up on the wedding morning. As a team, they are just incredible and true professionals. Bryan spent some time with me trying to organise a trial time- due to working away, and despite the fact we did its at 830pm at night- the girls travelled to my own home, going above and beyond what I would have expected from any team. I had had a lot of stress in the lead up to the wedding, and as a result was extremely nervous on the morning. I got married on 9th June and had 5 bridesmaids. I had picked this team as they did my friends wedding and I was a bridesmaid and Annemarie knew exactly what to do with my curly hair and the make up was gorgeous and I never forgot this. As well as amazing hair and make up which suited each bridesmaid, AnneMarie even went to the shop to get us more prosecco when we ran out. Just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to everyone at AMM team!! The service provided by everyone from start to finish was of the highest quality. The girls on the day went above and beyond for us. Our hair and make up was perfect- and to each of our individual tastes! Annmarie & Julie styled myself & my wedding party in September! They both were an absolute dream! It is a standing joke that I booked them even before my venue haha! ! Simply because there was no contest, would never have went anywhere else! They were such a good laugh and buzz on the morning making us all feel at ease, they made me feel so relaxed with music going & them even pouring our champagne! They went that extra mile, helping me into my dress and Annmarie was even on the floor putting plasters on my feet with my shoes! Anne Marie and Julie did the hair and make up for my wedding in September this year (2017). They were incredible. I had 6 bridesmaids, plus my mum to get ready and they did this effortlessly. Everyone LOVED the results, my mum was so astonished with how she looked she has framed a photo of herself on the day!! (This is a lady who usually hates photos of herself). Julie and Anne Marie were amazing. Not only did they make us look and feel amazing with our hair and makeup, they were a joy to share the morning with. We were all so pleased with our hair and makeup, my maid of honour telling everyone that Julie has magic wands as hands � Anne Marie is clearly a pro with brides and even helped to calm me down when I had a bit of a wobble.
