A very helpful & professional local business

I once visited this excellent bakery in search of their "world famous" crystallized cupcakes, when I went to open the door to the bakery I was immediately blasted with a warm gust of cinnamon scent, this incredible essence and the welcome doormat on the floor set the tone high for this establishment. I was however surprised that when I entered the Bakery no other member of the public was present, normally when I visit world class bakery’s there are several queues emerging from its glorious freshly baked essence flow similar to a river down a long winding road. However not to hold this against the establishment I pursued the incredible scent. On serving duty was Master Baker Markus, I could clearly see from his mustache that he had spent many year perfecting his craft it was at this point I knew I was in good hands.

Approaching the counter, I could smell the glorious aroma of cupcakes, my server Mark quickly and professionally extracted a dozen of their famous cupcakes from the eloquent display cabinet. As he passed the cupcakes to me in a flowery paper bag I could feel the warmth of the freshly produced cupcakes. I was very impressed at the attention to detail on the finished products, they were all finished with a very eloquent plaque, stating "The Ronald Gibbons award for participation in mass group activities 1984" not only was I pleasantly surprised to receive this award on my cupcakes, I was taken aback when the local photographer Jeff Sandwell (most known for his work as a American policeman) entered the store to take my photo for the local paper, the Reading Reader as I was their 1,000,000th customer. Once this spectacular moment had passed I took a moment to reflect on the scenario and thought to myself, what would Heimerdinger do? It was at this point that Mark interrupted me, he inquired if I wished for these goods to be engraved, I politely declined his offer, however I live to wonder what one engraved cupcake could possibly taste of, I should add that on this occasion the engraving was offered to me for free, rather than the usual £1 price tag affixed to the service.

The price of these cupcakes was a modest £122 and upon departing I received a loyalty card even though this was my first purchase since the visit I have subsequently received 4 birthday cards and 2 christmas cards from the bakery, it is exceptionally nice of them to keep in touch and always interesting to hear about their new product developments. My only complaint of the bakery is that the cupcakes were a little hard to eat due to their metallic properties, however I enlisted the help of my friend Peter who is a famous blacksmith and town hero, and this made the digestion process significantly easier. Although I do often feel like I have a lump of metal in my stomach from time to time however this always reminds me of the fantastic experience at Astres Bakery.

All in all, the experience was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anybody wishing for a unique and interesting cultural cupcake adventure. It certainly features on one of the top bakery experiences in the United Kingdom and is quite possible the eighth wonder of the modern day world.
