This place is top notch, I signed up around 2 months ago, my first belt grading is next week and I feel confident and ready from the help of everybody at the Beverley academy. We chose martial arts as we thought it would be a great way to help Harry develop confidence and concentration for starting school and meeting new people. At first Harry was really apprehensive about taking part in the classes, and for a few weeks he actually hid under the chair! But with coaching and praise from Sir and Miss, plus perseverance in our part Harry joined in the classes and really thrived on the reward and achievement. 5 months on and Harry has done 2 gradings, joined the leadership program and more confident than we could have wished for. My kids 5 and 3 joined the club an year ago. They learnt so much and have a very positive impact in their personality development. They have been enjoying being part of it. My son Seth has been coming to the Driffield academy for nearly two years now. When he first started at 3yrs old he was nervous about getting on the mat and hated wearing the equipment! Since then he has grown massively confident, is more focused and loves every session he attends. In fact he enjoyes it so much I started too! He has just passed his blue/black belt and I've just achieved my orange belt at the grading at Beverly acadamy.
The instructors are really engaging, making every session different and enjoyable!
I really recommend starting your kids or even you parents on the AEGIS programme!
My son and I always leave the sessions feeling great!

My son started 2 years ago at 3 years old. In the 2 years he has attended he has become more confident in himself and with others. He loves going to class and even introduced some of his friends to it. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. One of the best things I have done is joining this school. Such a friendly place and everyone is so supportive and helpfully. I started at the end of January 2014 and have never not wanted to go to class, I can't wait to finish work to get there and when class finishes I feel like I can take on the world. I have signed up my children for general physical fitness improvement and self-discipline development. I ended up joining myself. The class turned out to be a great family bonding time as well as a great motivation and inspiration. We can pop in to and family class available in Beverley or Driffield during the week and/or on Saturday mornings. The flexibility allows you to catch up on a missed training. Apart from a regular physical activity, we get to work through books as part of our gradings. This encourages even more family time- we really enjoy our discussions and brainstorming when dealing with the tasks. The class is a fantastic connection with the school and home life as children get rewarded for their various achievements outside the MA class with stamps and labels that go on their suits. Apart from the regular classes, there are additional sessions organise, i.e. Superkick seminars or Self-defence classes. They give you an opportunity to meet and train with other instructors. Also, occasionally trainees get together for various outings, family days and BBQs. The class gives you all- a great workout, an opportunity to let the steam off, wonderful atmosphere where anyone is always happy to help and a bit of socialising on the side. More...

Fantasic new venue, Beverley are lucky to have such amazing instructors. This team bring out your qualities within yourself and abilites to regain self confidence as an individual.

As a parent I was struggling with my 10 year old boy, both on a personal level and from an educational perspective. Within 2 Months and using the support materal/ booklets, going to the sessions twice a week even if he wasn't to happy about it sometimes. I have my son back :)
He has grown in confidence, smiles, made great friends, enjoys going and his grades and attidue at school have completely changed. Ethan was getting into trouble at school not because he was naughty, just that he lacked confidence and understanding within friendship groups and struggling with Dyslexia. By taking the support material into school and working together my son has moved in the right direction. From Christamas 2014 to April 2015 he completed his AEGIS Leadership Work Book and was awarded 'Overall Achievement Award' from his Primary School.
My son Ethan has really matured in such a short time he has made progress in all areas of school. He now takes ownership of his own learning and really pushing himself to improve further. A great attidue to have when your going to make the big jump into Secondary School soon.

Me and my daughters have been attending the Leadership and Martial Arts academy at Greengates for the last couple of years. We were welcomed from the very beginning and always made to feel involved. The Spencleys and their team are professional and really know their stuff, plus they ensure the sessions are fun. There is an emphasis on respect and taking care of each other during the activities. Best place ever..the Master Spensely's are fantastic instrutors..my little girl as been coming to classes for two years and has come on leaps and bounds. .her attitude is so much better..It took me quite a bit longer to get on the mat but with plenty of faith in me from the Master Spensely's i got on the mat and i've not looked back..I would recomend to any one thinking about taking up Martial Arts to join us at the AEGIS Martial Arts &Leadership academy Greengates. The Master Spensley family have been a major part of mine and my children's lives and changed there lives forever. They got my son Jake fit and healthy, overcoming juvenile arthritis and he achieved his Black Belt at the age of 5 years old. None of this would have been possible without there dedication, support and patience and of course fantastic martial arts training.
