Being somewhat camera shy I was more than a little bit apprehensive about the session I'd booked with Rue but I really had nothing to worry about. She had given me lots of advice on what to bring with me and when I arrived Rue took her time to explain everything and we chatted about what to expect. Throughout the session Rue made me feel really relaxed and I actually found myself starting to enjoy it! As a result, I decided to book in another session to have a professional business photo taken. Rue and Mark from Element One Photography are fabulous to work with. I heard about them one week ago and we had arranged a sitting for headshots within a week.
They fitted me in because I had a tight time frame from when I heard about them. They came highly recommended from a trusted friend of mine and she was right. They are kind, lovely and highly professional people and made the whole experience really good fun, effective and highly enjoyable.
The photographs are superb and just what I wanted.

What do you love most about your job?
I love interacting with the clients and being creative.
I love it when my clients want to try something out of their comfort zone and they feel inspired and comfortable enough to try new experiences and styles in which to present themselves.
This explosion of creativity creates a challenge for both myself and the client and this forms a lovely bond of trust and relaxation at the studio or at their desired location.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been lucky enough to work with small businesses and individuals for the last 10 years and I really enjoyed hearing their personal and business stories. Some of these stories made me cry and some made me laugh that loud that my stomach ached. However, working for an organisation I found that my personality and ambitions were confined to processes and procedures of others. I wanted to help people with their business in my own way, so I figured 'Why not!' and I have not looked back since. I love what I do and I love sharing my experiences and talents with the people that I meet to support them in building their brand in their own unique style and way.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have loved photography and taking video for as long as I can remember. Taking my film into a shop to being developed, waiting a week and then collecting my photos with little Post It notes telling me that 'Image Blurred' or 'Subject to far away' Goshh!!! How technology has changed.
I love to capture a moment in time that is special and that, when looked back at, can transport my clients back to a time and place of enjoyment and delight.
I spend the time getting to know my clients and finding out exactly what they want and what they want to feel and remember when they look back at their images or videos.
I am constantly improving myself and expanding my knowledge as I find that every detail is important and all the small details make a magnificent whole.
