For people local to me, I am a registered massage therapist with a special interest in headaches. Since most of these are generated from the tension in the upper back, we figure out together what is happening in the client's environment, their posture, their stresses. I love being able to resolve the headaches as well as the various causes of the physical stressors.
Life coaching in its various forms is an extension of this, where we get to dig into the nature of stressors that are affecting the physical body. It's a deeper layer of the manual work I already do, and a possibly more permanent solution to the deeper problems facing many people.
I've been in an entrepreneurial role for most of my life, teaching abroad, and working for myself as well as subcontracting for others, with the occasional employment gig. I work well in both settings, but need a certain amount of freedom.
I'm a quiet sort, I like to think deeply about things that underlie our feelings and decisions. Not that I've always made the right decisions! But having failed at certain things, I can see beyond the perspective of a safe or perfect life and how to survive when life just doesn't go that way. Whether you've made the mistake, or as in the current moment, it has been foisted unfairly upon you, there is always a way to come to your peace.
