What do you love most about your job?

Being a source of comfort and support during a stressful time, and easing fear as families navigate through the end of life transition is a reward for me. Tailoring a ceremony that will be remembered to honour and suit the desires of those who are dieing for those who are left behind is gratifying.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Many people are returning to grass roots family care at end of life, and my training has provided me opportunity to handle this type of care. Intimate and personal during an often highly stressful time, I am able to provide respectful support to those in need. I believe people are searching for less expensive and more personal alternatives to funeral homes and heavy religious ceremonies after death, and as a Life Cycle Celebrant I am able to accommodate.

Why should our clients choose you?

I provide caring, compassionate yet professional services.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am able to speak with clients over the phone. I have a YouTube Channel, can meet online on a zoom meet or via facechat. I will be providing "Grieving through Art" workshops online this fall for those unable to attend in person. I feel that those individuals walking this path of grief are often in need of more personal connection and touch is so very important. A touch of the hand, a hug can transmit healing as well as spoken words, therefore most clients prefer to meet in person. I have performed one funeral over a zoom due to covid-19.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I was forced to close my office. Thanadoula work has been limited due to inability to be present at hospital, or have gatherings due to covid. I performed one funeral over a zoom.

I have recently moved and will be building an office with gardens and a labyrinth on my property, hoping to be able to take clients here before spring 2022.
