‘21 Certificate of Excellence

Hanson Canine Services offers boarding and day care where your pet is our family, too! As a dog trainer, I have the experience to handle dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments safely. Both boarding and daycare services are at my home with my own family and pets. Your dog will get both individual attention and safe, proper socialization with other animals. My home is situated on one acre and I am close to a farm field where I can walk/run your dog for 1.5-2miles (at an upcharge; weather permitting). Is your dog not animal friendly? That’s okay! I have a set up where I am able to give your dog one on one attention separate from other animals. If you want your dog part of a family while you travel, look no further than Hanson Canine Services, where your pet is our family, too!

What do you love most about your job?

I love animals, I have ever since I was a little girl. Over the years my true enjoyment came from volunteering with rescues and shelters, working as a dog trainer and, well, doing anything involving animals! My pets are well loved (spoiled!) and when we travel I always want them to stay somewhere comfortable where they will be loved - not just kenneled the entire time. This brought me to start Hanson Canine Services so that I can spend my time loving on dogs for a living!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Knowing what I want for my own pets when I’m away - to be loved, not kenneled - brought me to realize I have the ability to offer this ideal to others. I want my clients to be able to travel knowing their dog is in great, capable, loving hands and not sitting in a small kennel 22 hours out of a 24 hour day.

Why should our clients choose you?

My clients have the comfort knowing that as a dog trainer, I have the capability to safely and properly watch their dog no matter the age, size, breed or temperament. Having trained aggression and behavior modification cases, I am able to board multiple dogs in a safe environment, whether they enjoy group classes or need one on one loving because they aren’t thrilled with other animals or people. I am comfortable and educated in using prongs and e-collars if a client uses these tools for their dog, as well.

While dogs are with me, my clients will get daily picture and video updates so they can see how their dog is doing. I will be in as much or as little communication with my clients as they like while away.

In addition to my one acre yard, there is a field nearby where I can walk and/or run your dog for 1.5-2 miles (for an additional fee, weather permitting).

I do require clients to provide food and medicine to last the duration of their dog’s stay plus 2 day backup in case travel plans change. I also require clients to provide vaccination records showing their dog is up to date on age appropriate shots.

I look forward to watching your dog in my home, where they are family!
