About

“I’m never the type of person to take for granted what photography can really do for me and my collaborators”

I (Lucius Vagari) started photography in October of 2023, and officially created Zelden with the goal of being able to capture and create memories while also learning more about the art form.

Q&As

The secret to taking a great photograph comes down to multiple factors: 1) Be inspired to create a meaningful piece of work that will help someone in the long rung. 2) Open the floor for creative input, 3) Learn more about the people being photographed (interests, small talk, goals, likes, etc.), 4) Set the boundaries before the photoshoot (understand what is permitted and what's not allowed), and 5) Appreciate the time being able to communicate with new or familiar faces. There are other factors that come into play, but these are the keys that do come to mind when making a photograph.

I would ask the following questions: "What do you have in mind for the photoshoot?", "Do you have any ideas that can be used for the photo session?", "Is there any particular location you would like to shoot?", "Do you need the final photos as soon as possible?", "Are there any boundaries that need to be set prior to the photoshoot?", "Is this your first photoshoot?", "How do you feel prior to the session?", and "How would you after the shoot (confident, happy, prepared, etc.)?"

I enjoy being able to learn more about myself and the people I get to collaborate with. I also challenge myself fundamentally as a photographer and a proprietor. There's a feeling like no other when you get to see the smile on the clients faces and seeing the slightest shift in emotion that (hopefully) leads to a better outlook on themselves. I also get to learn more about the art of photography and what it can do for me emotionally, and mentally.

After attending an event filled with creatives and unique personalities, I decided to take a chance and try photography for myself. I've had previously learned about photography years ago and I've always enjoyed trying to capture (some) moments with my smartphone. I wanted to pursue a creative career that allows me to be of service to people while also being able to dedicate more than enough time for clients and myself.

I'm willing to make sure that clients are safe, confident in my abilities, and have fun from start to finish. I'm open to ideas and concepts that can elevate the final result (as long as it makes sense). It is with my upmost interest that I try to go the extra mile for my clients and making sure that they are more than satisfied. I aim to not only provide quality work, but also to provide a great experience that they can remember for months and years to come.
