What’s your signature dish?
We have so many dishes, there all a big staple. Our rasta pasta is famous, as well as the mac & cheese, oxtail, & a few other crowd favorites.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We always have a converstation with the client to see what they have in mind, then we add our own twist and flare and recreate there dream menu for whatever the occasion may be.
What do you love most about your job?
Cooking for other to enjoy, as well as establishing new buisness connections.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Zays Plates was inspired by a 7 year old boy named Zayden. Zayden can be seen as our logo, he is a 7 year old with cerebal palsy. So we wear green in our logo to show awareness for CP. Zaydens grandmother Sherma is our CEO & Chef. Her passion for creating inspiring dishes coming from trinidadian roots is truly amazing. She loves to make pureed foods for Zayden as well as full blown meals for Zaydens baby brother Amari. Whom also is apart if the Zays Plates Legacy. & then last but not least we have Zaydens mom who is the Buisness manager for the company. We all work hard to leave a legacy behind for our familys and Zays Plates is for Zayden.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
At all events we always bring our hand santizer for us as well as guest, mask, gloves are always changed after a new food group is being touched. Also all staff are fully vaccinated against covid-19.
Parties
We cater for all parties big or small, we also do great finger foods and kid friendly food for those picky party eaters. Just give us an idea of what you like & we will give you the best party menu ever. We chef it up for baby 3rds birthday or even grandma’s 75th, we literally do it all.
Weddings
Now the caterer for your wedding is one whom you’ll never forget. We can take your Palette to Paris even on a Brooklyn budget. We can create a decadant menu from weddings as small as 20 people, to even 200+ for a larger crowd.
