Recently came into contact with the owner. Seems to be a stand up leader who respects both his team's and his students' time. I had an appointment with him that was running long and as soon as he realized he could be late for a class, he respectfully made it clear that his students needs come before his own interests. That's a business with integrity. I have family members who swear by his training as well. Worth checking out. More...

Great kids' and adult training program. Friendly, engaging staff. Real life skill building. Nice, spacious facility for kids to hang out in before/after class and adult space to wait or work while your child does their class.👍

Awesome place and the people are fantastic! They make learning fun. It has been wonderful for my kids too. They are obsessed with this place. The athletic training has been really good for them. My son is 7 and he can do real push-ups with the perfect form thanks to this place. My daughter loves this place loves learning with the other kids. I love every class they have for me and the more I go the more I love the classes. My husband hates working out and even he loves this place. More...

My review/opinion Anyone considering this company should decide based on their own due diligence NOT my review. Unfortunately I feel obligated to update my review of this business. My children have been attending classes at xtremekravmaga Fenton for over 2 yrs now, & this will be their last week , due to behavior that I feel is unacceptable by Steve (the owner, & the secretary). Other parents considering enrolling their children (particularly under 10) may wish to know about. First I want to say that the instructors have been great throughout, & this is NOT intended to trash the business or anyone who works there. My wife & I love that the instructors are strict & run a tight ship. This is something our kids are accustomed to at home as well. This is not a rant, just a thorough account of my experience, & a review like this would've helped us out 2 yrs ago. I believe a few months ago the steve moved out of state, & now travels back & forth to run his business. I also do not know anything about the inner workings of his business. That being said, since his move, I've noticed that over the past several months xkm is slipping more & more, by failing to inform us of multiple "policy changes" , overcrowding, & speaking aggressively to some of the small children there. One of the 1st issues was when my son turned 8yrs old , & after nearly 2yrs of training, was excited to attend the big kids class with his sister (who has been training as long as he has & has the same physical skill set) only to be told that he was not welcome, & must be "invited". We were told prior to enrolling, that class is for 8yrs & up, (nothing about having to be invited) & after nearly 2yrs, his skill level was equal to most that were already in that class group. Their excuse was behavioral reasons. My wife & I are very strict on our children & our sons' behavior is typically better than the average child his age. He has never gotten in trouble at school, & other parents often compliment us on his behavior, however he is an 8yr old boy, & to be fair there have been a few instances where an instructor had to calm him & others down. My son has never damaged anything, bullied, or been disrespectful to anyone at xkm. Minor incidents are common with several other students there, they are kids after all. Parents understand that sometimes kids act like kids. My son seems to only get in trouble here for some reason. The 2nd issue was when steve on 2 occasions, spoke aggressively to my 8yr old son unnecessarily, despite the fact that I was parked directly outside their front door, & he could have easily spoken with me directly. The 1st time (about 3 wks ago) I chalked it up to the owner possibly having a bad day, & let it go. In order to ensure that my son follows the rules, & is not being mistreated, I decided that it was best to return to my previous (pre c ovid) practice of going inside & watching my kids during their classes. (something I Always did prior to getting injured, & I genuinely enjoy doing). As a parent it is my job to supervise, protect , & discipline my children. Everything was fine for a couple weeks, so I allowed my son to play with one of his friends after class inside the kids section, I went to my car, while my daughter did her classes. A few minutes later, my son & his friend come running out & my son is out of breath & almost crying telling me again, that steve had yelled at him. This time it was because another student had taken my sons water bottle, & he had tried to get it back. (non violently) Again, just kids being kids. I regret not going inside & having a face to face with Steve (the owner) right then, but calming my son down was my priority at the time. It's important to note that I don't believe Steve has any children, & therefore I believe he has extremely unrealistic & comepletely unattainable behavioral expectations for children. Again, there are kids who I frequently personally see do things that are far worse. Two weeks ago, a little kid was bitting the punching bags , flipping everyone the bird and using the "F" word, and he was allowed to remain a constant distraction & in class, however Steve never yelled at that kid. After my kids last class on 1-5-22, the secretary posts on FB, that parents aren't allowed to watch their children train. She then claims that this has always been the policy. We have been going there for over two years, & several of us "involved" parents routinely watch our kids training. I immediately reached out to the owner, & he stated that is their policy & in the past he's made an exception for us...again, after two yrs of never being told any of this. Watching on Zoom is not an acceptable alternative to ensuring my child safety & behavior. Obviously any business that doesn't allow parents to enter their facility to simply observe their children, is acting suspiciously. This is a Huge red flag & the final straw for our family. If your children are atleast 10 yrs old, & you are fine with simply dropping them off , or sitting outside in the the cold, well this may be a perfect fit for your family. There appears to be alot of growth at xkm recently for children's classes. If your children are under the age of 10, & well behaved, yet on rare occasion , act like a kid, well then my advise (take it or leave it) is to take your kids somewhere else. You may want to go somewhere more kid friendly & welcoming, aka- Allows parents to be present. At a time when soo many parents treat their children like an afterthought, the owner of xkm seems to want to make it harder for involved parents to be INVOLVED. My wife & I consider self defense training for our kids to be just as important as the mortgage, & groceries, so we have done a couple trials at other places, (in anticipation of xkms continued poor etiquette) & will absolutely continue their training elsewhere. My family & I want to thank all of the instructors who have helped train & shape our kids over the last couple years. Our decision was based entirely on the behavior by the owner & the secretary up front. In my opinion xkm has unfortunately become just another post c ovid, "Give me your $$$, & get the "F" out" kinda place. #Shame More...

I checked this place out on recommendation from a friend for many reasons but my personal safety was the foremost concern on my mind. I had no idea that it would have some pretty sweet side perks like endurance and overall fitness, not to mention a little peace of mind when conducting life’s everyday activities. I have a super long way to go but I’m on this journey until I need a wheelchair and even then, I’m pretty sure the instructors can come up with something because they’re all THAT GOOD!! ???? More...

Parenting & Martial Arts success story recently. Our oldest son broke up a fight between two boys at his school in which one of the boys was said to be a brown belt in karate and was bullying a boy with special needs. Our son got between the two boys, created attention to get help and get the aggressor to focus his attention on him. Our son was struggling to fight back with his fists but stuck with mental fortitude and actually de-escalated the situation with teaching he’s learned from his Kids Krav-Maga classes and parenting from home. This is such a huge win and thank the strong community at Xtreme Krav Maga. Our son has gained confidence and strength to help others thru this great organization. Thank you ???????? More...

Xtreme Krav Maga is absolutely the best place to train. You also have the added bonus in that you learn the most efficient, fluid and common sense self-defense system there is. The way it is taught makes it a complete system. Steve Sulze and his instructors are extremely well versed on their techniques and make learning fun and challenging. The best part; there are no gym egos here. Everyone helps everyone and you always feel like your training is important to everyone there.... because it is!!!! More...

I went to the free preview Krav Maga class. There was a sub and she did really great. I signed up for a six month memebetship not knowing it was not going to be the same instructor. I went back the next week and I noticed the regular instructor used a lot of fear mongering. They kept repeating that I need to be ready for when I got raped. I counted them saying it 6 times in one class. I went back the next week because I did enjoy learning a skill that I can use but it ended up being the same thing. Before the next class I decided that I couldn't be in such a negative environment. I went in and ask if I could get out of the membership. I explained I wasn't enjoying the negative environment. I didn't actually talk to the person that does memebership so I filled out some paperwork and was told she would call me. No one called. My friend that was trying to get out of the class too finally got an email that said no. I called again and still haven't gotten anywhere. More...
