My dogs love everyone at Sol Dog and I only trust the staff here with the care of my beloved fur kids. I have many dogs and each of them love it here. After our young rescue pups got into a few awful fights we needed to turn to training so our home wouldn't have all the chaos. I looked up local dog training and after reading reviews and learning her training philosophy we decided on Sol and there 3+ week board and train program. We got our babies back far better mannered. They listen better to commands, walks on leashes don't pull out my shoulder and there interaction together gets more and more calm. Took our dog Aja in for her first follow up with Rachel this afternoon. We are so happy with the results of the board and train. One of Aja's issues was that she would bolt out of an open door or or gate and then we would end up having to go find her , she had to be on a leash outside of the yard or she would take off on us. The last two days we have had her in the front yard with us off leash and she stays with us. It is awesome !! Today when we pulled up at Sol Dog for our follow up, Aja could hardly contain herself when she saw Rachel..She was extremely happy to see her and gave her lots of kisses.. to me that says alot about Rachel as a trainer and someone who I would trust with any of my dogs. We adopted a new guy (Mac) from PAAC at the end of October. He was very ill for weeks and so we had little problem with our other dog until the day before Thanksgiving. There was a resource aggression incident and so we were nervous about leaving him with our daughter as we would usually do while on vacation. Rachel was able to take him while we were gone, evaluate him with other dogs and make suggestions about ways to keep both dogs safe. All for a reasonable price. We couldn't be more pleased with the care Mac got and will definitely be back to solDOG for training for both of our guys. Thank you, Rachel! More...

Peaches just finished a 3 week board and train. I adopted her from the humane society where she had been stuck there for 6 months. And bonded with me quickly but was very anxious and aloof in new places, with new people, and other dogs. Although Peaches and I are both still on our journey with obedience training, I couldn't have asked for better people to leave her with. Rachel was especially helpful with giving me updates as often as I wanted and the will power to keep going even when I missed my girl. My boxer Buster had about every behavioral issue a dog can have. Over a sustained period of time, Jose and Rachel have helped Buster have the obedience needed for him to understand our needs and for us to have a less stressful home. In July 2013 my dogs; german short hair pointer, 9 and pitbull, 2 got into a terrible fight that required medical attention. Jose and Amanda gave us the tools we needed to prevent this from ever happening again. My pit is the smartest most trainable dog that I have ever owned. We started taking our bull dog/mastiff mix here and she is doing GREAT! The staff is so attentive, patient, effective. Our training sessions are an hour but Jose & Amanda have always ended the session when they knew we were at a good place. That sometimes meant going a little longer than expected.
