RELIGIOUS/BIBLE READINGS and/or NON-RELIGIOUS BLESSINGS OR QUOTES, PERSONAL ANECDOTES: You may pick your own or let me pick up to 3 verses or readings. You can combine the religious and non-religious for a total of 3. This counts as 1 add on.
HONOR CEREMONY - Usually a candle ceremony for someone who has been helpful, important in your life/relationship that is probably in attendance at the wedding. Just a way to say an extra thank you to them. I usually bring them up and the couple will light a candle "in their honor" and say a public thank you.
MEMORY CEREMONY - Usually a candle ceremony for someone who is departed from this life. Can be relative or friend. The couple will light a candle and I will say the flame of this candle represents the spirit of _____ at the ceremony today.
UNITY CANDLE/UNITY CROSS CEREMONY: The unity candle ceremony consists of 2 taper (long) candles which are lit and the couple each holds one then together they light a central candle as a demonstration of unity. The unity cross is a specific cross (which comes in 3 pieces) for wedding. THE COUPLE PROVIDES THEIR OWN CROSS AND I DO
THE CEREMONY. They are available online or at most hobby/craft type stores.
SAND CEREMONY: The mixing of the colored sands is a demonstration of unity and commitment, This is appropriate for small or larger weddings and can be a couple only event or a family ceremony. 2 colors of sand are used and provided by me. You pick what colors you would like. You keep the combined vase of sand after the ceremony.
ROSE CEREMONY: This is a commitment ceremony for couples. Each of your will get a fabric rose (decorated with tulle and ribbons). The usual color is red but can be any color you choose. You will actually exchange the roses (which you keep) during the ceremony as your 1st gift to one another on your wedding day.
JUMP THE BROOM CEREMONY: This ceremony has it's roots in the African - American culture and represents "jumping" into a new life, new family. The couple holds hands and actually jumps over a decorative broom. You may bring your own or purchase a beautiful one from me
HANDFASTING CEREMONY: This is an ancient ceremony where the hands of the couple are actually tied together and an expression of unity and commitment. I use a beautiful gold cord w/tassels to actually bind you together (which you get to keep). You also get a certificate of handfasting.
CUSTOM CEREMONIES: IF you have another ceremony that you want let me know and I will try to accommodate your wishes. Some I have done are the traditional Mexican ceremonies: 13 COINS, ROPE CEREMONY, CARRY THE BIBLE, etc. I have done the 3-CORD rope ceremony (Christian unity ceremony, couple can provide the 3-cord rope or I have them available to purchase.
KEEPSAKE CEREMONY CERTIFICATES: Can count as 1 add on or purchased additionally . I have several styles available and they can be seen on my website. Let me know the # of those you would like to purchase and the style # from my website.
