What inspired you to start your own business?
It all started back in the days, in 2004 to be precise.
As part of my Computer Science Engineer studies back then, I was doing my internship. I could have applied to any big company in the country.
I chose to have my internship in SOS Children’s Villages. It's a global NGO that leads the world’s largest family care movement. They build families for orphaned, abandoned, and other vulnerable children throughout the world.
Their local website had very few visits in any. It was not optimized and not very user-friendly. All their donators came through word of mouth.
I back then saw that there is definitely something to do. I reached out to major agencies in SEO and website development back then and was very surprised with the astronomic budgets they asked for and with their condescendence because "they were very good at what they're doing".
I was shocked by the attitude and the behavior of those agencies. I decided that I will create an agency where experts are accessible, affordable for small businesses, and excellent at what they do!
Right after my master's in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, WebPower agency was born!
I am now in business since 2007, and during that time I have made it a commitment to teaching clients when they lack knowledge, empower them, and get their business where it deserves to be: On top of Google for every keyword that matters!
