We've been bringing our puppy Watson here for months, and he loves it. When we adopted him, he was terrified of humans and didn't want to be away from us. Now, he leaps out of the car and rushes into the back, so clearly he's enjoying himself! I like that they have cameras, but I wish the space was a little larger. I also don't like the "no transfer" policy because we have two dogs, and sometimes the staff seem a little overwhelmed...BUT they're always more organized than they seem and SUPER nice! The groomer is amazing too! A later pick-up option (vs. 7pm) would be nice, but we make it work. No daycare/boarding facility in this area is perfect, but we do recommend Wag More based on our experience! More...

A great and accommodating day care! The staff is extremely friendly and always available, especially when in an emergency. After adopting our Beagle mix in May we started bringing Thea to Wag More Dogs. Shes a shy dog being rescue and was hesitant to be left at first, but now every time we walk in for the morning Thea bolts for the door to the daycare room. The package deals of reserving daycare days are great and I really enjoy the flexibility it brings with my shifting work schedule. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Shout out to Marrah and JB who now recognize me and get Thea ready for pickup even before I get to the front desk. We started bringing our Malinois pup to WMD when she was 4 months old (August) and are so happy with this facility!  All of the staff members are extremely nice and helpful and always greet Mila by name when we arrive.  We've enrolled Mila in full-day daycare and weekend boarding.  While they don't provide you with a "report card" at the end of each daycare session (they do with boarding), they do have webcams that you can watch, which I find more beneficial than report cards.  The facility is clean, well organized and in a great location.  I would highly recommend WMD! My puppy is always so excited to see the daycare staff when we arrive in the morning! The staff greets her by name and make us feel very welcome. I am so happy to have found a daycare that I feel safe and comfortable with. We come to daycare about 3 days a week and the staff is very accommodating with any questions or schedule switches I have. I love being able to check in on her during the day with the video feature! My favorite is when they put out the bubble machine for the play groups.  My dog always acts naturally and comfortably with the attendants and in the facility which lets me see the positive atmosphere here. I take my pup there often and she loves it! She has so much fun running around with other dogs. Out of all of the other daycares I prefer Wag More Dogs the most. The best part is that they have a webcam, so I can spy on her all day if I wanted! Definitely trust my dog being there all day. More...

Ram Dass Loves Daycare at Wag More! She starts running into the building the seconds she gets out of the car. The Staff always remembers her by name and she can't wait to be greeted by them. I watch her throughout the day on the doggiecam and love seeing how happy she is. When I pick her up she is always so happy and falls asleep right when she gets in the car. They are always so great at communication and responding to emails right away. I love that the staff all love dogs and love what they do. I've been bringing my dog Taylor to Wag More Dogs over 2 years now. They are so reliable and I wouldn't trust my pup with anyone else. My favorite part is having free access to the doggie cam to check up on her and see the workers playing and petting the dogs. They even know Taylor by name when we walk in! Zelda has been with Wag More Dogs since moving to the DC area last year and she LOVES it!! In fact, I think she prefers Wag More Dogs daycare than hanging out with me at home. This place... Wow- I cannot say enough great things. Large, clean, affordable, all-in-one, and the doggie cam is just the cherry on top! ! This is a business I see making efforts to always improve. For example, the dogs used to bark a lot (as they do at most doggy daycare places) when owners came to drop off and pick up their dogs. The last few times I went in there, the dogs were basically silent. I remarked on this and they said they had been trying some distraction techniques to keep the dogs quieter. Wag More has been a lifesaver with our rescue pup! He had destructive separation anxiety when left at home during the day, and after a few rounds of chewed up backpacks, shoes, and dog beds, we decided to invest in doggy daycare for the days both of us work in the office. At first, Gaucho only went 2-3 times per week but as our professional roles have changed Gaucho spends 4-5 days a week in daycare. He loves going there, is exhausted when we pick him up, and continues to be a social, easy going pup with other dogs. We use Wag More for boarding when we travel and love the transparency and quick contact. Daycare gave us time to work on his separation anxiety in a more controlled environment and now Gaucho happily nestles into his crate at home. I bring both my hounds to wag more dogs 5 or 6 days out of the week and they absolutely loveeee ittttt so much that we whine like crazy when we turn on to four Mile run road! They spend the first part of the day playing then they take naps in the skylight and then it is back to playing like crazy untill we go home, im always watching on the doggie cams they have. At home they sleepppp forever and to that i can not thank you guys enough! The managers are great and are extreamly helpful and knowledgeable and they really care about each dog and owner. The pack leaders are amazing with the dogs and try toto keep the dogs entertained with bubbles and games and lots of love. It is the cleanest facility I have ever been to and and i know my pups are in safe hands there. Great place for daycare and boarding. The webcam is an awesome component and they are very meticulous about getting your dog's food, medication, etc. correct. 4 not 5 stars only because the dogs don't get access to the outside/fresh air, which may have something to do with how stinky my pup is sometimes. You can pay $5 for a walk in the dog park which is a nice option, though. They offer on-site grooming which is super convenient and at a great price, too. I hope they are able to expand and possibly include an outside space/dog run in the future. More...

I knew right away that this was the best place for my pup! The facility is super clean (they clean it three times a day! ) and you can tell everyone LOVES dogs...they are all super friendly. Trust me, they go above and beyond to ensure your dog has a safe and comfortable time whether its boarding, daycare or grooming. They definitely go the extra mile for my Sammy. Best thing is being able to see my sweet boy any time from my i-phone on their webcams. And they even featured him on their Facebook page. I brought my dog, Sage, in for doggy daycare after seeing a wonderful Wag More Dogs calendar at a friend's house, which featured adorable photos of dogs for each month of the year! I could tell from the calendar how much this daycare loved dogs and my mind was at ease having to leave her for the day while I went to work. She is sometimes a little reluctant to go inside the dog room, but that is only because she is super attached to her humans. She is always very happy (and exhausted) when I pick her up at the end of the day. I used to take Sage there a day or two a week so she wouldn't have to be stuck in her crate every day of the week while I'm at work. Unfortunately, my office location has changed and it is now inconvenient to drop off/pick up Sage so I don't get to take her weekly anymore. I still use Wag More for random occasions when I know it will be a long day at work or I have somewhere to go and she is always excited to be back with her four-legged friends! More...

We have been so impressed with WagMore. We've used them for doggy day care for two dogs and they are wonderful. I trust them with our dogs, which is saying a lot. The staff is very caring and I always get a prompt response for any communication. They are also very dedicated to rescue dogs fostering dogs from Homeward Trails and offering discounts or a free first day for a rescued dog. For us they represent a good value, too, since our older dog needs at least two potty breaks with a dog walker during the day. Buying a package means that a day of daycare is less expensive than having a dog walker come twice. We love WagMore and have had nothing but positive experiences with them so far. The smile I get when my pooch hears the word "daycare" because his favorite place to go is Wag More Dogs! Ive been taking my furbaby to Wag More since April and it's far exceeded what I expected from a doggie daycare. My pooch is still a pup ( 1 1/2 years old) and has a lot of energy, not only does he get to play all day with his friends to let out his energy, but it's well supervised, the staff knows him and adores him like their own, and I love being able to check in on him with doggie cams to see him playing and having fun. First and foremost I have done a lot of research on many groomers because my dog is very unique. He is a Siberian husky beagle boxer mix. He basically is the most adorable dog ever, but sheds like crazy and his fur can be a pain to groom out. Wag More Dogs is by far my number one place to go for anyone who is looking for the top of the line professional grooming for such an fantastic price. The owner and the groomer there are very knowledgeable and honest with there business and to their customers. Lavinia who is the groomer at Wags More Dogs is by far the most patient, understanding, knowledgeable, friendly and the most transparent groomer I have ever met while taking care of my dog. I have used a few groomers in the Arlington and Alexandria area and she is my number one go too. She will make sure your dog gets the VIP treatment. She would take you step by step through the process so you would not need to worry about the stress of your dog or what they are going to look like at the end. Kim and her staff at Wag More Dogs have really been a life saver for me and my dog Sheba. I have been temporarily assigned to the D. C. area for work and had to find emergency arrangements for my shitzu who has some separation anxiety issues. I cannot leave her alone in the apartment all day because she screams if left alone so after checking out several places in the area, I decided to go with Wag More Dogs. Yes, there is a small evaluation fee to make sure your dog will do good in the environment they provide; some may find it a bit much to do this but actually if you want to feel safe leaving your precious dog somewhere all day without worrying about there being maybe an aggressive dog bullying yours I think it was worth it. They have cameras so you can watch what goes on and I find it entertaining and another way to feel reassured that your pet will be well cared for. If you get the unlimited day care package, they allow you to drop off early and pick up late which I also found to be a plus. I have also used them for boarding and my dog Sheba really likes it. She really comes home happy and tired and is ready to go back the next day. If you are looking for a Great place for doggie daycare and/or boarding in the Arlington/Shirlington area, I highly recommend them. More...

We just love this place. After trying another doggie day care down the street which was very dirty, I was concerned about where to take my granddog who was staying with me for several weeks back in May and June.  Norman is a puppy and although he had done a little doggie day care in Chicago where he lives, I wanted somewhere close to perfect for him and I found it at Wag More Dogs. Taylor who greets you as you walk in and sits in the front office is great. He answered all of my questions of which there were many! In addition to the camera where you can watch your dog every minute of the day, they have a great set up with cots and other things the dogs can lay or jump on if they need a break from playing and socializing with the other dogs. Also there is a nap time in the middle of the day where allof the  dogs are crated for quiet time. Since Hindy departed several months ago, we've had both of our Yorkie mixes groomed by Kristie. In addition to being kind, thorough, and professional, she took excellent care of our pups. Her gentle demeanor put them (and us) at ease, and it was the first time they didn't appear to be nervous wrecks. She took the time to discuss our preferences, look at several photos of their previous cuts for reference, and also made a few suggestions - she was clearly knowledgeable about the best type of cut/style for their breed. During our oldest dog's grooming, Kristie called halfway through and said that he seemed a bit tired, and so she wanted to allow him to rest awhile before continuing (as dogs have to stand on the grooming table). Another groomer might have ignored the signs and forged on at the risk of causing pain/discomfort to our senior dog. While I know that it cost her time, we truly appreciated that she prioritized his welfare. After all was said and done, he emerged with his best cut to date! One side of our dog's facial hair grows out in a kinky way, and she tamed it perfectly. He looks so youthful and handsome, and we've received countless compliments on the cut. I can't say enough about Kristie's meticulous work - we wouldn't entrust our pups to anyone else! It does appear that Kristie is the only groomer on staff - if so, she must be slammed (especially on the weekends) as Wag has employed 2-3 groomers at a time in the past. I hope they're prioritizing her well-being so that she can continue delivering her level of high quality care and not become burned out. More...

We have used Wag More for occasional boarding and grooming over the past few years.  We recently went in for a grooming appointment for our black lab mutt Bella and learned that Wag More got a new groomer, Kristie (not sure on spelling). We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Kristie.  She took the time to come out and meet with us on a busy Saturday to take a look at Bella and give us a recommendation on what we can do from a haircut perspective.  We had been told in the past that Bella's hair shouldn't be cut, but Kristie informed us it definitely can be cut it just will take time to do. We made an appointment on a Tuesday AM (wanted to avoid the busy weekends) and Kristie spent about 4 hours cutting Bella's hair (it has never looked better and must have been a pain to cut as it grows in all different directions), trimming her nails, and bathing her.  We were so pleased with the end result and will 100% be using Kristie again in the future. We've been sending Ellie (our corgi) to Wag More Dogs once a week (ish) for over a year and are very satisfied. She is always happy to arrive there and comes home tired after a full day of daycamp. The owner and staff are a little quirky but are all obviously "dog people" and care a lot about the animals.We've also boarded Ellie at Wag More and like getting the little "report card" that comes when we pick her up; they are also flexible about their hours. We've boarded her in other places and Wag More's pickup time (up to 7pm) is pretty generous. That we can check in on their doggie cam is also a plus, but most of the dogs at Wag More seem well behaved and well socialized, which is a testament to their screening process. We don't feel like we need to check in too often. A few of the negative reviews have complained about it, but we like that Wag More has an in-kennel nap time in the afternoon and feel as though it's important for the dogs to have a dedicated safe space.I unfortunately can't speak to their grooming services, Ellie can get a little grumpy about bath time and nail clips so we do it ourselves.Some of their business/scheduling could stand to use a bit of streamlining, we've had to sort out being booked on the wrong day a couple of times, and sometimes during the day they can be a little difficult to get ahold of (the best times to book are via email and upon picking up your dog), but in general we and Ellie are very happy with wag more and will continue to use them.Well, there you have it. My dog is at ease with other dogs, but very nervous with people. I originally started bringing him to Wag More Dogs when I needed him out of the way at home, but a few months began bringing him in at least once a week. They've been great at figuring out how to interact with my pup without scaring him. He's gone from shaking and peeing when he came in from fear to hurrying to the door to the play area and not wanting to leave in the afternoon. Most importantly to me, he's so comfortable there he's now choosing to greet strangers! He doesn't run away from them or duck his head; he happily accepts petting and sometimes even gives them a kiss. For a dog who is normally terrified of people (and still defensive towards strangers at home), this is huge and makes me unbelievably happy. I started taking my very touchy Maltese to the famous Hindy at Wag More for grooming. We recently switched to their new groomer, Anna (who Hindy trained), and I was worried because Hindy has been the first groomer in years that our Maltese will tolerate. Anna was AWESOME! I can always tell when I pick my dog up from the groomers if she was stressed or okay. Not only was my dog acting happy, she really looks better than ever! My dogs have been coming to Wag More for 2 years and love it!  They pull on the leash to get inside when we get out of the car.  My one dog is afraid of most people but completely changes when she goes to day care.  She is actually excited to see the staff!  Unheard of for her.  The facility is clean with two decent size dog areas.  There are web cams in the dog areas so you can go online to see what your dog is up to.  The web cam is worth viewing just for a laugh.  Staff is friendly and very professional.  Everyone is wonderful with my dog.  The place is clean and well run. I looked on Yelp for occasional daycare when we are in DC, and since the Beloved Goldendoodle comes to work with me, a little "alone time" is good for the two of us.  I decided on Wag More Dogs after his evaluation because I liked the friendly atmosphere, padded floor (anything else must be awful on the paws), nice mix of small and large dogs and a webcam so I can do a little check on him.A HUGE bonus is that he does not have that "doggie smell" when I pick him up (years ago, I had pre-paid for a month at a place where he smelled awful after the first two visits, and happily forfeited my $$ on that) since a weekly bath isn't what I am interested in doing for either of us.Making a reservation is easy, just email or call and then let the fun day begin!
