How often do you see 5 star ratings on Yelp with this many reviews? That says it all, but I was so happy with Viva Pets' service. I recently left my beloved, elderly, 3-legged cat home while I went on a much needed camping trip. It was our first time apart in 18 months, thanks to you-know-what. Aubrie and her team came in for overnights and did an amazing job. While I was shivering in my tent missing my boy, I got a thorough email every day about all the pees and poops and snuggles and snacks. They got down and found him in his weird, dank hiding spot when the gardeners frightened him with the weedwacker, and made sure he was properly loved on the whole time. I cannot say enough good things about Viva Pets! Aubrie did the "meet and greet" with my two cats, Lionel & Chloe, and was so thorough, and kind. It's also clear she loves what she does! Filling out a comprehensive form about my cat's histories, temperaments, medical needs, as well as house related information made me feel comfortable that Aubrie & the team would be able to take care of anything that could possibly arise while I was out of town. I don't think there's anything she hasn't thought of asking, and it's evident she wants everyone on her team to be as prepared as possible! They even pay attention to the sweet little things, such as asking if you leave a light on for your pet. The intake form becomes a shared Google Doc that can easily be edited. This made it easy to make some last minute changes, and add a few important notes before I left.For the four nights I was out of town, Zoë stayed with my cats overnight, and was simply wonderful. Each morning and night I received a detailed update as well as cute pictures & videos. Both of my cats have health issues and need numerous oral medications, and Zoë lovingly administered all of their meds, as well as gave one of my cats IV fluids. It's rare to have a pet-sitter that is not only sweet with your animals, but can also care for them on this level. It can be stressful to travel when you have animals that need this kind of care, but knowing they were in such good hands made it easy to relax. On the last day, I received pics of all of the clean litter boxes and freshly filled food & water bowls, and of course, pics of my babies.During this time, Aubrie was caring for my partner's cats, and we received the same thoughtful updates from her, along with daily pictures. We even got videos of our fish! Both Aubrie & Zoë, and I'm sure the rest of the Viva Pets team, were reliable, consistent, and communicative. I'll definitely be turning to Viva Pets for all upcoming pet-sitting needs and am so grateful a pet-sitting company like this exists! More...

I have just returned this evening from a trip during which Viva Pets watched my dogs for the first time. Aubrie, Zoe, and especially Emily were just amazing. I was boarding my plane and felt anxious -- my dogs were in my apartment without me for four days!!!! Would it be OK? It was beyond OK: it was superb. Viva Pets was on top of everything with a thorough Q&A beforehand -- updated me each visit with the most thorough email ever -- and sent me pics of pups each time to be sure I could I see my guys. More than that, I felt how much they cared about my animals, how they recognized their individual goofy personalities, and that they were not just cared for while I was gone -- they were loved. I've been using Viva Pets now for almost 5 years.  Everything has been fantastic!  They've always been very reliable, communicative, detail-oriented and go the extra mile.  Their prices are also very reasonable.  I especially love their detailed e-mail/checklist for each visit, including a cute photo of my cat (also their playful, sense of humor).  I always look forward to getting these visit updates while I'm away on a trip (makes me feel warm and fuzzy).  I'd highly recommend them to anyone! Seriously the best petsitting experience I've ever had. Thorough, professional, communicative, friendly. Excited to be traveling again in 2021, and I felt better leaving knowing my cat (and plants, and mailbox, and etc etc) is in their excellent care. Aubrie and crew have taken care of our cats for the last seven years including our elderly tabby, administering meds and everything. Now we have three new cats and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with our babies! I worried often during the pandemic about the gang at Viva Pets, hoping that they were making it through the mess. Of all the businesses most impacted by the shut down, Viva is at the top of the list. We're taking our first cautious travel outside of town next week and I couldn't be more relieved to know that Viva is still alive and kickin'.... there to provide the most excellent care to our kitty and plants and home. I have used Viva Pets at least half a dozen times (maybe more?) over the last several years and I cannot say enough good things about the services they provide. My cat was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma 3.5 years ago and has to be medicated daily, which causes me massive amounts of anxiety about traveling and leaving him home alone. Viva Pets offers overnight services and while they aren't cheap, they are worth every penny. Their team provides impeccable communication, they send updates with pictures, and booking is really easy and straightforward. In fact, I had other care lined up for my kitty that fell through during a recent trip out of town while my cat was having a medical emergency and Aubrie was not only able to accommodate a very last minute request while I was stressed and already on vacation, but all of the communication was extremely kind, professional, and empathetic.  They always leave my apartment cleaner than I left it and I feel completely comfortable trusting them in my home and with my fur baby. After 5 years we still Use Viva Pets LA! We have 2 new additions to our cat family, totaling 4 cats now and they were easily able to follow any new instructions we left, and always take great pictures with email updates. We recently used VPLA a few times to travel, now that we can, and they still take great care of our kittens. Our cats enjoy their company, and they work great with the more shy ones. If you have a pet that you love but doesn't travel well, Viva Pets is exactly what you need! We've been using them for the past 2 years and it's such a relief knowing that our little girl is being taken care of so well while we're gone. If anything, she looks mildly disappointed that we're the ones that walk in through the door at the end because she knows it's the end of her time with Viva Pets =P. If I could give 6 stars, I would! I am, or was a frequent traveller pre-Covid. I have two needy cats who would tear up the house any time I would go out of town. Finding VivaPets was like I dream. I could actually travel without having anxiety or guilt and enjoy being gone. My cats absolutely LOVE the VivaPets staff. Like, absolutely love. Sometimes I feel they might have been bummed when I got back. The staff is so kind to me and the cats. They are also super efficient. They send the most detailed update describing pet behavior, apartment temperature, which lights are left on, any strange findings in the litter box, etc. They really take no short cuts. I was working the longest hours last year and had VivaPets come check on the guys during my work day. Upon arriving army apartment, Aubrie realized my cat Juju was having an asthma attack and rushed him to his vet and I met her there. She also stayed a while to comfort me and gave me recommendations on primary care vets and even some reading material on feline asthma. If you're going out of town, even for a short weekend, please do not hesitate to use VivaPets. You will not regret it. I trust them with my cats' lives, literally. I can't say enough good things about Viva Pets-- their leaders Aubrie and Zoe, along with all their staff have been consistent and amazing caretakers for our two cats Apollo and Wesley for over 3 years (along with our plant babies! ) and they never fail to impress us! Over the years, we have gone on both short and long (3+ week) trips, and they take amazing care of our kitties, even though we have moved twice and have dealt with some challenging landlord/key situations. They have gone over and beyond our expectations so many times, we feel completely confident in their abilities to keep our pets happy, even our very shy Wesley who has a hard time being friendly with people he doesn't know well. The Viva Pets team takes care of everything when we are away from home, from collecting our mail and packages to watering our plants, changing lights and keeping an eye out to make sure nothing fishy is going on around our house (they even noticed when our neighbor moved our car for street cleaning!), so we have so much less stress when we are leaving our fur babies and our home in their hands. Not to mention they are friendly and easy to work with, and manage to get great photos of the cats to boot (seriously, check our their instagram! @vivapets). Could not recommend them enough! More...
