We work with organizations and family businesses across the country. Building a successful team is like casting a film – you can have all kinds of talent on the set, but if they don’t connect with each other, or if there is no chemistry igniting a creative spark between your players, your project will fall flat of expectations. We found our approach was extremely effective in helping teams navigate change, find their creative flow and work together more effectively, or as we like to call it, become an ensemble.

Change and the art of being in change has always fascinated us. Beginning in 1978, Ricci and Raymond focused their curiosity within the theatre environment to develop a unique training approach for ensemble-based improvisational performance. They founded Creative Agility, leading Applied Improvisation workshops & retreats for professionals to enhance creativity, intuition and connection with others. Natalie joined the firm in 2009, is Director of Operations and manages our leadership training and assessment programs.

Ricci Mann Victorio, CSP, CPCC, PCC, is our President & Co-Founder. Ricci is an expert in coaching individuals and team on how to embrace and thrive in change. She has been coaching artists and executives for 30 years in identifying individual and team superpowers and in helping them learn how to work together as an Ensemble.

The foundation of Ricci’s down-to-earth approach is based in her previous 25-year career in the Entertainment Industry as a director and innovative acting coach in the art of improvisation. Ricci was on the planning team for the International Succession Planning Association and Co-Developer of the online Succession Planning Assessment (SPA). Previously, Ricci was the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of the Mosaic Family Business Center in San Francisco, and before that, President of the Rawls Family Business Resource Center in Orlando, FL.

Natalie’s background in Humanistic and Applied Psychology has provided Victorio Consulting with a well-rounded approach to building EQ (Emotional Intelligence) curriculums, improving team cohesion, and understanding unique personality styles in the workplace. She has a passion for deepening knowledge of utilizing diversity effectively and coaching individuals towards appreciating & applying practices of inclusion.

What is EQ? It stands for Emotional Intelligence, or emotional quotient, which is the ability to accurately perceive and understand others' emotions; to understand the signals that emotions send about relationships; and to effectively manage your own emotions. Every personality has it's own unique language. Foundational to successful teams is effective communication, where people are able to express themselves and be understood, feel safe to speak plainly and feel heard.

Using applied improvisational techniques to provide a kinetic (physical) experience, we provide opportunities for business teams to learn how to work together without judgement, expand their confidence to be creative together, push the comfort zone to get out of their heads and into being fully present with each other.

Through these applied improv and Leader as Coach exercises, participants will identify the obstacles that block them from being able to create meaningful shifts in a dynamic way, and to create change and work with others without conflict. Techniques to develop skill sets that are so important to leadership: being authentic, staying present, trusting your intuition, staying centered when things get unpredictable, and integrating ideas with ease and gracefulness.

I coach a variety of business owners, executives, professionals and creative individuals to help them achieve their goals & objectives. Sometimes it is within their existing work environments, and sometimes it is to help them identify and implement a change they want to make in their lives. All coaching is done remotely - usually via webcam/Zoom meetings so we can see each other and screen share our Big Board ideas. We will have a shared notebook, either through Google Drive or Evernote, to document our sessions, ideas, notes and action steps.

My coaching practice is based on the Co-Active model, so it is collaborative and involves coaching the WHOLE person. So while I tend to initially be engaged to help people professionally manage their careers, be better leaders - it also lends to learning how to communicate better with everyone in their lives, be clearer in their expectations of themselves and of others.

When setting goals, it goes beyond work/business, and will extend into personal goals and family goals. Self-awareness and self-management IS an essential focus in my coaching approach - and it’s always where I start with a new client. We also use the PDP Personality Styles survey called ProScan, which will give us a head start in learning about your preferred working styles, as well as provide a measurement of the amount of stress and energy drain you may be currently experiencing.
