What can you say about Victor Cooker Photography? After our photoshoot, the one thing we found ourselves saying is, “ Why did he make it so hard to choose which photos to keep? ” Victor was not only a pleasure to work with, but he was also very professional, insightful on the photoshoot, intuitive in capturing photos candidly, artful at taking pictures that are posed, and ensured the desire of capturing this time in our lives was expertly met. Victor helped us choose our shoot location, suggested the time to provide the best lighting, and even beat us there to begin setting up the session. During the photoshoot, he provided guidance, posing instruction, and even captured things we were not expecting. All to create photos that we absolutely loved and adored. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I feel that the secret to taking a great photograph is getting your client to the point in the shoot where they are fully relaxed and they feel free to express their truth. Whether it is posed or candid, once the client feels at ease, the real moments can be best captured.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
-What is the vision for your project?
-Is there a theme that you have come up with for your shoot?
-Do you have any locations in mind?
-How many people will be captured in the photographs?
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my gift, is the ability to help bring joy, confidence, reassurance, excitement, feelings of love and appreciation, plus much more to my clients. I absolutely love when a client reaches out to me and lets me know how beautiful their photos are and how much they love them. I love to hear the feedback from customers at the end of the shoot where they tell me, "That was a lot of fun!" or "That was easier than I thought". But what I love most is when I have clients that tell me that throughout the process they remembered how awesome or how beautiful they really and truly are.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The inspiration to start my business came from some of my first customers who told me that what was just a passion for me was actually what could be my gift. They also told me that I should seriously pursue it because even though back then while I was just getting started, they said that they still loved my work and thought that what I do is amazing. From there I made goals and stuck to them and continued to grow daily.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe that clients should choose me. Because as a photographer, it is about more than just providing the camera and snapping photos. It is about the experience that I provide for the customer from the initial point of introduction all the way through shoot day and delivery of final photos. For me photography is not just a way to make money, it is a way to bring out and capture happiness, excitement, milestones and memories that people will cherish forever. I feel that it is my way to give back to this world that we live in by adding at least a few more smiles and a little happiness to peoples lives.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Before working with customers, we sanitize our hands. While working with customers, my team and I all wear masks and maintain distancing. Also, we keep hand sanitizer on hand to make sure it is available for both ourselves and our customers. Even off the clock, while in public my team and I all actively work to be and stay safe around others in our daily lives.
