We have had a great experience with all three of our pets at VCA Venice. Dr. Flanigan is extremely helpful and supportive of whatever treatment decisions we make and provides very gentle care to even the newest addition to our family who's a very shy rescue dog. The staff at VCA is so kind and goes out of the way to help however they can. Definitely recommend bringing your pets to this great vet clinic! Plus there's easy free parking in the back. More...

We absolutely love it here for our dog, Hank. We used to go to Carlsen, but not only found VCA to be more convenient but also more accommodating and concerned about Hank's personal needs. I could not recommend this office enough. Over the past decade our dog needed quite a few vet visits for which we went to other veterinary offices. We never stayed at one office very long until meeting Dr. Yashari, Terry, Jalissa, and Camille. When we found this clinic, it was during a time when our dog was very sick, nearing the end of his life. Dr Yashari never told us what to do, but rather guided our decisions the entire time, and even picked up our calls and came into the office on her days off for us. She is incredibly smart, and leads her care with complete compassion and love. Terry and Jalissa worked at the front desk, and every week we came in would check on Stuart, give him treats, love on my family, and gave their time when they were extremely busy thus not having much to give. Camille was always so patient as we went back and forth on deciding what treatment plan we wanted to follow, and cared for our dog like he was hers as he needed to have various exams/tests done. I have nothing but kind things to say about this office and could not recommend it more. Yesterday we put down our pup and the entire office came to say goodbye to him, and Dr Yashari prayed with us, loved our dog - Stuart, held his paw and held him in her arms when he was scared, never rushed us.... just did everything in her power to make him comfortable and loved. This place is the BEST. Everyone who took care of Frisby today was so kind and thorough. They are concerned about the overall health of their patients, which is so appreciated. Dr. Yashari's proactive approach soothed my nerves and they managed to recommend everything without making me feel pressured in any way. I came to VCA to get my dog a rabies shot. Everyone was extremely nice. The visit took a long time. We were in the room before our appt time but somehow didn't leave for almost two hours. We didn't have an appointment and were concerned over our fur babies health. VCA Venice accommodated us and fit us in into their busy schedule. Staff is friendly, and the service was quick. The staff at VCA Venice are all incredibly helpful and accommodating! We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Flanigan, who was so thorough with my new puppy - she truly made him feel right at home during his first vet visit. She also took extra time out of her busy morning to give me all of the important tips that I should be mindful of when bringing home a new puppy, which have proven to be invaluable thus far. We came here after 6 months with a vet who was ignoring our puppy's diarrhea symptoms and he started to lose weight. Lots of weight. I've been taking my 2 cats here for a couple years now and have always had wonderful experiences with multiple veterinarians, vet techs and office staff. As my cats have aged into senior cats, the vets at VCA have helped us navigate multiple health issues including referrals to various outside specialists when needed and strategizing with us about the timing of non-essential wellness care like vaccines and dental cleanings to help us manage and stagger the costs. They are very upfront about costs and counsel me about how to best balance caring for my pets while giving them the best possible care. Their check-ups have always been very through and have picked up on potential health concerns as early as possible. One of my cats has a lot of anxiety and everyone at this office has been so caring and understanding with him. They do a great job of keeping him as calm as possible. I can tell everyone here really cares about animals! I feel like my cats are in good hands when I bring them here. I woke up and found blood around my dog's eye. She's a senior dog and has been falling lately so I think she fell and banged her head in the middle of the night. I called VCA Venice and told them what happened. They were pretty booked but helped me out and squeezed me in that day. I walked in and the staff at the front desk were all so warm and kind. They all came out to greet my dog and gave her a treat. I could really tell they all have a great concern and love for pets. It was a short wait and the front desk staff would check on me and my dog frequently. Dr. Flanigan helped me out when we were in the exam room. She was really thorough and took a lot of time to explain to me what was going on, what we had to do, and why. Since she's a senior dog so she explained to me that it was much riskier to sedate her for her sutures, and told me the steps they'd take to make sure she was as safe as possible. I really felt like I was giving my dog the best care I could here. I left so they could perform the tests and procedures. When I came to pick her up Dr. Flanigan came out and sat next to me to explain everything that had happened, results of tests, and explained how to take care of my dog the following week. She was very compassionate and knowledgable at every step of the way. She even told me about what I could do to help with her arthritis and pointed out some swelling near her gums. She understood I came in for the large gash on her eyelid and prioritized this the entire time. She said that these other items could be discussed later and didn't push any further. I brought Louis, a small terrier I came across in an alley, for his first visit. I wanted to make sure he was okay and that he received great treatment since he was scared and seemed to be out alone for some time. Upon entering the facility, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The front desk treated Louis with great care and offered him treats. They helped me schedule an appointment ASAP and were very helpful. At his appointment, Tech. Katie wrote a welcome for Louis on their board and was very friendly. Dr. Stout was examined Louis without getting him scared. If you knew Louis you'd know he does not like anything more then a gentle pet on the head.I couldn't afford all his vaccines so she put together a plan and also gave me other options to make sure it was more affordable.I am very happy with the service and will be bringing Louis regularly! This was our first time at this vca. My friend is a vet assistant at a different location and recommended we go here and try it out. Dr. Flannigan was our doctor and she was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. This is my first time with a cat so I needed information about having cats and what shots and wellness they should have. I felt very welcomed and my cat felt very loved. If we could give more than five stars we would. Dr. Evans saw both of our dogs Bella and Katy just now. She was so kind and loving. She talked about  each of the dogs health and possible treatments we may want or need in the future. No hard sell that is sometimes commonplace in a vet's office because you feel so guilty if you don't say yes to everything.She took her time with the girls to make them comfortable with her.
